Inside College Football: 8 Wisconsin at 4 Michigan preview

Can't wait for kick off! Go blue!!!!
September 28th, 2016 at 7:32 PM ^
Here's one stat that really sticks out. Opponents have had 50 third down chances and only converted on 6. That's 12%!
September 28th, 2016 at 11:49 PM ^
Doubled the average at 4/13. They played LSU and MSU, two horrible pass offenses. Ours hasn't been great the past two weeks (I think Speight's shoulder is still a little hurt), but Georgia State may be the best passing offense they've faced.
September 29th, 2016 at 8:01 AM ^
Who's been solid but will need more than Harbaugh pad punches Saturday.
September 28th, 2016 at 10:43 PM ^
They played two teams who couldn't throw the ball five years down the field, and one team who couldn't hold onto the ball.

That would be our defense. Wisconsin had allowed 11 conversions on 46 attempts.

Three days from now:
"HOW YA LIKE THAT, RICKY?"
By the way, this guy also says Saban to LSU is a possibility

These guys are bananas lol.

September 28th, 2016 at 6:41 PM ^
a lot of respect, then 3 of 4 went with Michigan, with Randy Cross, as mentioned, having Michigan winning big. Thanks for sharing Blue in AZ.
September 28th, 2016 at 6:43 PM ^
I can't wait for Saturday to be in the Big House and screaming my lungs out. This is going to be an epic win. GO BLUE!
September 28th, 2016 at 10:13 PM ^
This. It's my first game in 6 years. I can't fucking wait.
September 28th, 2016 at 6:47 PM ^
The fact that the first thing I noticed was the background picture showing Wisconsin's new UA jerseys, but Peppers in the old adidas proves that I have officially been brainwashed by this blog.
Also the last guy saying that Michigan is averaging 45 points a game needs to learn how to do math.
September 28th, 2016 at 7:53 PM ^
He said our offense, so it's possible he just subtracted out our special teams and defensive TDs. However, I'm too lazy to check if that math works out.
September 28th, 2016 at 8:43 PM ^
The math does work for Michigan at least. 45 offensive ppg for Michigan and 52 ppg total. He was incorrect with Wisconsin though. Should be 28.5 offensive ppg and 30.8 ppg total for them. He said 24 ppg.
Of the 114 offensive points Wisconsin has scored this season 52 of them were in the Akron game. That's 46% of their offensive production this season in one game. Their offensive ppg is 20.67 in the other three games.
In comparison Michigan's defense has given up 48 points this season with 21 in the Colorado game. That's 43.75% given up in one game. The defense has given up 9 ppg in the other three games.
So is that one game an abberation for either team? We'll see. I feel good about it though.
September 28th, 2016 at 9:08 PM ^
I think our D is going rattle the young QB. Wilton needs to have a solid day and we need to give him time.
September 28th, 2016 at 9:40 PM ^
Agreed, Colorado's O is far better than Wisco. And we didn't have Taco or JD against Colorado. I bet Wisconsin barely cracks double digit points.
September 28th, 2016 at 6:49 PM ^
And Neuheisel can choke on a pretzel stick.
September 29th, 2016 at 2:34 AM ^
No doubt that his team, Colorado, losing big to Michigan in 1997 left a bad taste in his mouth. Colorado was supposed to be a MNC caliber team in '97 but their hopes were dashed by the blow out loss to Michigan. Ironic turn of events, wouldn't you say?
September 28th, 2016 at 6:51 PM ^
From what I've witnessed, there are two camps, the analysts who believe the Badger victories over LSU and MSU carry the most weight, and those who still feel UM has more overall athletes and talent across the board. Early in the week, it looked like everyone was leaning Wisconsin. It appears now the majority of "experts" are picking blue. Smart people seem to be recognizing the lack of offense that LSU and MSU are capable of generating this year. Didn't ND hold Sparty in check for the first half of that game(didn't watch one min of that game)?
September 28th, 2016 at 7:56 PM ^
ND's defense is awful and should be given little credit anyway, but it's the second half when ND finally figured it out on D and almost forged a comeback. But ND allowed Duke to score more points than Sparty if that's indicative of anything.
September 29th, 2016 at 8:17 AM ^
Colorado in that we dont know enough about them yet to not allow them the benefitI of the doubt.the badger D is legit.if um can't pressure the young badger QB into mistakes could be a long day without clark in the secondary.
September 28th, 2016 at 9:22 PM ^
I think msu ran out to a big lead and nd fought back after msu shut down.
September 28th, 2016 at 6:57 PM ^
That is all

So you're assuming the spread doubles by game day? I like it.
September 28th, 2016 at 7:12 PM ^
I listen to him and Childers on Sirus College Sports channel often. Neuheisel isn't that good on TV but on long form radio he shines. A bit arrogant yes but he's smart, experienced and knows the game. They are an interesting team.
But he definitely has a hard on for Harbaugh and I don't know why. He acknowledges Harbargh's credentials and success but something happened between them that causes him to take a negative view. I think it impacts his evaluation of the team generally and with respect to this game as well.
September 28th, 2016 at 7:58 PM ^
I don't think you know what a hard on is.
September 28th, 2016 at 11:03 PM ^
I thought the same thing. Usually, a hard on is reserved for those you like. A lot.

it was probably the "How do like that, Ricky?!?" after beating him.
September 28th, 2016 at 7:16 PM ^
I hope both teams are actually good, but I hope that one team is actually great. Go blue.
September 28th, 2016 at 10:09 PM ^
Your avatar is an abomination just sayin....
September 28th, 2016 at 7:28 PM ^
Georgia State - let's not forget.
It was a couple weeks ago that they put away 0-3 Ga St late to win 23-17. Michigan beats teams like a great team beats teams. We know what it is like to beat a lowly team by a few points (Akron, Uconn, etc.). We won those games barely because we were just not that good. Not the same this year. We win and Hornibrook will be punished.
September 28th, 2016 at 7:45 PM ^
Wisconsin is holding their hats on 2 top 10 wins.... Neither of those teams will be ranked in the top 25 by end of year, both teams were vastly overrated and I'm tired of heard about it.
Michigan by at least 17 in this one
September 28th, 2016 at 8:41 PM ^
Exactly right.
September 28th, 2016 at 9:05 PM ^
I wonder what the pundits excuse will be for Michigan after they beat the snot out of Wisconsin. They'll probably say that LSU, and Michigan State were way overrated.. And that a Michigan win over Wisconsin didn't mean much.
September 28th, 2016 at 10:21 PM ^
Pundits don't mean shit. All that matters is the record at the end of the season.
September 29th, 2016 at 4:09 AM ^
Still. It's more annoying than skin tags on your scrotum to hear them talk "Well Michigan looks like a good team, but they haven't played these teams that this other team has played". Yet Alabama rolls over a glorified high school team and they nominate them as an honorary NFL franchise.
September 29th, 2016 at 7:33 AM ^
I mean Alabama has done a couple things recently to get the benefit of the doubt when they mow through cupcakes...

Whether we like it or not, most high school kids, including recruits, form their college football opinions by simply regurgitating what they hear on TV.
September 28th, 2016 at 8:48 PM ^
Michigan has yet to utilize their biggest weapon on offense. Peppers is gonna get significant time this weekend
