Illinois SG and former Michigan target Adam Miller enters transfer portal

Illinois fans seem to be completely shocked and confused by this. Was rumblings of him flipping to Michigan before signing his LOI last year so there could be some mutual interest
Definitely want -- flat out baller.
But is he a shot caller?
He definitely has 20 inch blades on the Impala.
Does he also wish he was a little bit taller?
This song brings back memories. Speaking of which, anyone visiting Atlanta should hit up our strip clubs here.
...which song?! We've got 2 songs crosswired right now!
Oh, you know the one.
In the "I Wish" video, the dude is wearing a Webber jersey though, IIRC.
Swisher rolled tight...
this one surprises me a little...
Me too. Miller was set up to be THE guy along with Curbelo. What gives?
Edit: Per Illinois forums, Miller sees himself as a PG, which he won’t be since Curbelo is there.
A PG?? The Illinois message boards are clueless. Nothing about Miller says PG. he is a SG all the way
Ant Wright is saying the same on Twitter. I think Miller wants to be more of a scoring PG who has the ball in his hands. My guess is he thought he'd be the guy after Ayo left and wasn't anticipating the rise of Curbelo
Probably has an eye on the draft. Very few big time 6’3” shooting guards. If he shows he can run a team at that height he becomes much more enticing as a draft pick.
Ha this must really hurt for Illinois. They had the makings of a really good backcourt moving forward with Curbelo & Miller. This doesnt bother me one bit.
Exactly my thoughts. Miller and Curbelo were their building blocks for the future. I wonder if this could mean that Nimari Burnett is going to Illinois
I just really hate this for such a douche team and douche coach. Maybe Miller didn’t like claiming fake titles and the team not doing shit when it really counts.
I would take him very happily
This is a trap. He got paid to go there.
As Gene Keady told me (yes, Coach Keady) - everyone pays a toll in Chicago to land talent. Everyone.
Well, I hope the Illini paid the toll and UM gets free travel!
A member of a very illustrious quintent of UM ballers once told me Notre Dame offered him the most money. He did not offer how much he got to come to UM.
lol
The Illini really were a one year wonder, weren't they? They knew this, and that's why they wanted to steal our title.
Miller is a guy I would see do something impressive early in the game and then just seemingly disappear because Ayo, Kofi and Curbelo would suck up all the oxygen on that team. Maybe he realized Underwood is a tool and decided to go elsewhere to get better coaching and a chance to be the lead.
He'd be a strong pickup, and I seem to recall us being on his original shortlist.
Go get him! Guy looked like he was going to be trouble! I don't know thou! I can't keep up with all the Gaurds in the portal ! I would love to have Carr also! After tomorrow I'm sure there will be some other stud that jumps into the portal that would be a good fit! Nothing wrong with this problem!!!
! ! !
No more coffee for you!
Lol. My kids always laugh at me for always using exclamation points after everything! I guess I write how I talk. I have a lot of energy. And this is after I quit monster energy drinks! Lol . I will try and stop.lol
A little surprising given the likelihood of him getting major minutes next year, but perhaps he didn't like his usage this year and sees a sea of mediocrity next season. Who knows. I would be a little surprised if he came to UM just because UM's already pretty stacked but we'll see.
This makes several we were in the final 2 or 3 for that are in the portal after one year. Lander, Burnett, Miller. There may be more than that. Funny thing is we probably won’t be a destination for any of the three even though we were a finalist.
Abdur-Rahim as well
Forgot him but yep you’re correct
This is an odd move.
Do want!
With the transfer portal really heating up and the extra year of eligibility due to COVID, my head is starting to swim.
I can't keep up with all of it, at this point I don't even know what I'm supposed to hope for.
