I know the double ventral "delta" fins help the Learjet's stall characteristics, but they also totally ruin the silhouette of an otherwise beautiful airplane.

The Emporer is, indeed, Kirk Herbstreit. I know what you're thinking: "How could Herbie be the Emporer? He seems like such a nice guy. He even had nice things to say about Tate this season!"

That is all part of Herbie's ruse. Much like the young Senator Palpatine, Herbie has charmed his way into the seat of ultimate power (backed by ESPN's empire).

Yeah, he looks wholesome; but don't be fooled. Tressel is merely a pawn; Kirk Herbstreit is the true fucking puppetmaster.

I'm guessing booster considering the football staff uses a rented King Air (turboprop) to get around—a nice aircraft, but not nearly as fast or fancy as this Learjet 60.

that much I know, and definitely NOT owned by the U. Not sure about the "booster" part (that is, whether this alum or the plane are connected to the athletic department.)

That is the wonderful Rich Rogel's plane, he was the Co-Chair of the Michigan Difference Campaign that ended last year. Great guy and huge M fan (though I guess the jet proves that).

Rich Rogel was the founder and CEO of Preferred Provider Organization of Michigan (PPOM). Before entering the medical management field, Mr. Rogel worked as a management consultant for Arthur Young & Co. and as a corporate finance associate in for Burnham & Co. For eight years, he owned and administered a multi-specialty medical center. In 1982, he founded PPOM, the first operational PPO in Michigan. This plan offered its services to more than 1,100,000 employees and dependents in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. PPOM won awards as Michigan's fastest growing private company and placed as high as 40th in the INC. Magazine 500.

Currently, Mr. Rogel invests independently and has been the angel investor for CoolSavings, Geneworks, Inergi LLC, and several other companies. He was also formerly the President of Tomay Inc and served as the chairman of Mobile Path Services, Inc. He is Past President of the University of Michigan Alumni Association, Chair of Michigan's capital campaign, and on University President Coleman's Advisory Board. He resides in Colorado where he helped found The Youth Foundation, serving on the Executive Committee and chairing the Education Committee. He also has positions on the Board of Trustees for the Progressive Policy Institute.

Mr. Rogel graduated as valedictorian from the University of Michigan Business School

It appears it is owned by T&M Air, LLC, which was set up by Arthur A Weiss. Interestingly enough, Mr Weiss is an MSU grad, but the address is for a law firm by the name of Jaffe, Raitt Heuer & Weiss. Ira Jaffe is a UM Law grad, so it could be his.

How do you know this, because I am very skeptical? I know Rich personally, and actually am married to someone whom he put through UM. He is an unbelievable man, but I don't think the plane is his. Not 100% sure, but would just like to know more.

It looks pretty obvious that it is registered to a law firm. Now, it is possible that this law firm could have registered it for one of their clients. But in that case I'm guessing it is Taubman's. The law firm is based in Southfield and specializes in real estate. Also the "T" in the T&M Air could be Taubman.

...design perspective, I would have run the Block M on the tail in blue with maize "swoosh" underneath. A minor faux pas in my opinion.
