about Michigan football until i set foot in the stadium my for the first game of my freshman year in 2005...right around the beginning of the worst stretch of Michigan football in history. I did not experience Bo, I did not experience Desmond or Braylon or Woodson. I have never seen us beat Ohio State.
What I did experience was tradition and belonging and pride. And at one point on on a crisp sunny fall day sometime during the '06 season I took a deep breath, half-drunkenly put my arm around a friend and said "the sun always shines on Michigan football."
Tomorrow someone in the big house will put his arm around a friend and spout off some similar grandiose statement, and at that moment everything in the universe will be right for him. Those moments are why I care about football.
the most positive points per comment. Those with up-votes bubble to the top. You could also make this some kind of weighted hybrid with the users total mgopoints or take into account the most replies on an original comment.
It’s great for bystanders. However, its a huge problem that police officers and some non-health emergency responders are using NV cpr because it can lead to some pretty scary neurological outcomes.
You may save the person’s life, but they will be much more likely to have significant brain damage.
Buffalo billards in dupont is probably the way to go. Almost all of the bars in georgetown suck unless you like hanging out with douchey frat kids from southern schools who wear salmon pants....
but higher density reduces transportation costs, people live closer to grocery stores etc. Higher density areas can take advantage of economies of scale with water and waste infrastructure also, which is important.
There are, of course, social/life stile advantages to living in the suburbs. But the environmental/economic (energy consumption and land use) issues that accompany them are significant.
I love the city, I love the country...but suburbs sure do suck.
is totally backwards from what should be happening. Which is people moving into cities, easing the environmental burden of increased transportation and land use...Detroit is dying. And i fear that the move to suburbs and rural areas is unsustainable, especially if gas prices go up and transportation becomes a major cost issue.
It will also be interesting to see the 2010 census data for Michigan and Detroit. I suspect that the current exodus estimates are very understated...

he was "highly successful" last year. jerk.
you have to amass enough priority points to get your tickets? And you have to pay $250 to keep them moving up. Is this correct?
Also, once you have good tickets, do you still need to donate more that $100 each year?

The surrounding Detroit areas aren't doing so hot.

is more dependent on which kinds of activities one likes to indulge in.
For non game day-
Since its spring you should defiantly go to an awesome outdoor bar called Dominick's.
Also, I would check out the arb.
For game day-
There will probably be lots of parties and tailgating going on. Make some friends and join one of them...
