I'm hearing that Skip Holtz is USF's new coach

This just came through the grape vine from a couple different sources. No link, not definite. This would be a relief for UM; it would mean that we keep our OC and can continue recruiting without additional distractions.

USF is in a top-heavy BCS conference. That enough makes it a "better job" to a guy like Skip; he's also in a mega-conference with a championship game, the BE has eight teams and you don't have to deal with a rotating schedule that forces you to be aware of a dozen conference opponents over the course of a few years.

Lou Holtz was actually saying "You ass Heff!" to some reporter, most likely in response to being kicked out of the Playboy Mansion for rowdiness. However it came out as "You Eths Eff." Someone put 2 and 2 together and unfortunately got 5. Happens all the time. Fun Fact: Lou Holtz doesn't drink water. Swear to god it was on ESPN. Which also means Les Miles is our current coach but, you know, tomato tomato let's call the whole thing off.

Direct Quote "No. 1, it has no taste, No. 2, if it does have taste, it ain't good for ya." The sad thing is that I don't like water either. I like drinking something that will add to my overall meal experience rather than just washing food down. I share something in common with Lou Holtz...not good. It could be worse though...I could be from East Liverpool, OH as well. In which case, I would light myself on fire.

Hell yes! As a USF alumni and a born and raised Michigan fan this is great on both fronts. Michigan gets to keep Magee which is awesome while USF makes a great hire. I was a big fan of Leavitt, but I really think Skip Holtz can take this team to the next level.

USF is a gigantic school in prime recruiting country and a BCS conference that has already committed $1.5-2 million to a new potential coach. Skip makes $655,000 right now and his buyout is only 100k. I don't quite think this is a lateral move for him.

This is great. I hope Skip Holtz has success, while Brian Kelly struggles at ND. Then in say 3-4 years, the Domers will be angry with Kelly, fire him, tear the program down and hire Holtz. Excellent.
