The Hottest Ticket in Town

Submitted by w2j2 on

Rich Rodriguez' UM team and Denard Robinson are to college football what the iPhone, iPod & IPad are to Apple Computer.

They are expanding the UM Brand.

What was the viewership of NBC on Saturday?  I bet NBC was thrilled with this game.

What network would not LOVE to carry Michigan football?  They must be drooling.

Will UM give a boost to the Big Ten Network, or what?

How many more seats will sell in the Big House?  UM branded clothing?  We are certainly getting our money's worth!

What post-season bowl will be fortunate enough to carry this team?  They will be figuring that out Monday.

These are rhetorical questions, but from a marketing standpoint, DM and RR's Michigan team are HOT.

Even non-football fan family members get excited watching Denard...and his radiant smile!  My wife loves him.

I think Bill Martin (With Dave Brandon whispering in his ear at the time) was a genius for hiring RichRod....for more reasons than one.

Which brings up another question...How much of a puppet master was Brandon (behind the scenes) when RichRod was hired?

He was a trustee and the CEO of a huge sales organization (Dominos) at the time.

Do you think maybe Brandon knows something about branding and marketing?

Just Saying................

Since we sell out every game (and then some) at the Big House, I doubt this current glamorization does much for ticket sales in AA.

However, it is awesome to watch ESPN and we are all they seem to talk about.  Thank you Denard.

I went to about four different stores on State St. last Sunday (after UConn) looking for an away 16 for the wife, and (men's) 16s were definitely running low.  There were maybe two in stock, in XXL.

However, there were racks and racks of 5s.  Just sayin'.

Unfortunately, they don't even make away 16s for women (yet).  Only 5s.  I asked the folks at the desk if they plan to get any women's away 16s in, and they said no.

Missed opportunity there.

We appear to have a very good football team with an amazing QB. But, let's not start talking about the situation as if all is well and Denard is the messiah. Remember 2009. I agree Denard is looking inhuman and Tate just looked really good. But, let's keep things in perspective and reserve these posts for post-MSU when we are 6-0.
