Hiring: Assistant TO the Head Football Coach

Submitted by MaizeAndHonoluluBlue on December 7th, 2022 at 4:01 PM

Browsing for jobs on Linkedin and came across this.

"Assistant to the Head Coach"

https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/3384802439

Good benefits and you get to do things like:

  • Manage the head football coach's daily calendar
  • Liaison with Michigan Football families
  • Assist head coach with personal appearances and off-season engagements

Only five years experience needed.

(Also, if anyone is hiring for a hybrid or remote role in e-commerce, food procurement, food safety, non-profit management, or hospitality consulting, let me know. Linkedin missed the mark with this job recommendation.)

I am totally unqualified, but I think I’ll apply anyway. I might not be the worst candidate hired by other universities. Michigan seems to do better than most (without Brandon).

The word they're looking for is "liaise." Liaison is a noun. You can't liaison between two parties.

Maybe it's a test. A good admin would catch crap like that - my admin definitely would and she's awesome.

OP, you left out the most interesting bit:

  • Provide counsel and guidance to Michigan Football players and staff.
