Has anyone received their UTL panoramic photo yet?
This is the one that was linked from the gigapixel fancam website.

I ordered a framed copy of the large one the Monday after the game but it hasn't shown up yet : /
I was wondering if anyone else has gotten theirs.

The next thing that DB will do is have people inside the stadium gates taking your picture as you walk in or pictures of you in the crowd that can be purchased at select spots throughout the stadium. This would be similar to the pictures they take on rides at amusement parks as you go down a roller coaster.
Everything will be for sale or marketed. I am surprised that they haven't come up with umbrellas marking the rain shortened game against WMU.

I think they do this. When we walked in for the ND game someone asked if we wanted our picture taken... Unless it was a creep.

Yep. It's called MyFanPic or something like that, they're "partnered" with the University or some such thing. These people were all over the freaking place on Saturday. Had no less than 5 groups of them stop to take our picture at our tailgate, then they were all over the concourses and up and down the aisles during the game.
Personally, I think it's kind of stupid, but there's money to be made...

I've come to the conclusion that you hate everything about Michigan these days. You should develop a time machine so you can go back to 1920's era Michigan Stadium.

I have one of these that I bought after the 2003 Ohio game. It's my mom and a couple of my college roommates with the back of the scoreboard in the background right after we entered the gates.

This kind of thing actually happens. I had pictures taken of me by some photographer at the ND game and I could buy them online if I wanted. Not that theres anything wrong with that, its not like theyre forcing me to buy the photo.

I looked at the field shot in the link. To me, the field looks like it's bowed downward in the center. Is it just my eyes or an optical illusion? Probably happens on a lot of panoramic shots.

With a wide angle lens you're going to get some distortion, can't be helped really. Pro photographers can probably give a better explanation than I can, I'm strictly amateur at this point.

It's getting borderline greedy what they are doing outside the stadium. I don't think it's going to stop until people start backlashing against Brandon and the AD.

Brandon has brought the corporate feel to the athletic department, that's for sure.

Thx. Hopefully mine will show up in the next few days while the excitement from being at that game is still fresh.
