Harbaugh Twitter Update on Grant Newsome

Submitted by KennyGfanLMAO on

I don't know about y'all, but I'm proud of our boy Grant. He seems to be making strides.

Harbaugh Tweet: (There's a video of him running)

The grueling rehab continues for @grant_newsome. A lesser man would have thrown in the towel many moons ago.

I can't help but wonder if that act of walking off the field may have exacerbated his injury, resulting in the near loss of the limb. Perhaps he would have been better off to ride off on a cart.

Any insights from MGoMedicalProfession types?

Damn that's awesome. I got goosebumps watching this.

EDIT: I got him at just over 6 seconds to the 40, which is not terrible for OL not recovering from a horrific injury.

Great news. I really hope he can come back to play. I watched the Wisconsin game a few weeks ago and forgot how brutal that hyper extension was.

Great to see! Rehab is almost as much mental recovery as it is physical. You have to be able to trust your legs to go back out there and take the beating. So to see him out there running and getting back in the swing of things is very encouraging. Especially when there was talk of whether or not he'd even be able to keep his leg.

Hope he comes back next year stronger than ever.

Did this reference go over people's heads, or was it judged to not be "too political?" (BTW - I think it's funny and shouldn't be considered out of bounds.)

I've been on this blog for a long time and I'm still surprised by the voting from time to time.

Good for Grant. If I were him I'd quite while I'm ahead and be grateful for the ability to run again.

What a great video, it's nice to see him able to move that well. It looks like at the least he will be able to enjoy a normal life, at the best he will be anchoring the left side of the line next year. Either way, that is great news.

Whether he plays again or not doesn't matter now. Just make a full recovery and be able to walk normal with no pain is great. If he returns to football that is just icing on the cake.

I'm hearing more and more that this game will be moved to Sunday (9/2/18) from ND alums.  Would be great to have fifty or more 77 Michigan jerseys in the stands.
