Harbaugh and Gattis... Bros?

Apologies if this is not considered board worthy, but I thought this article from MaizeNBrew was pretty interesting.

It included this bit from Harbaugh on his relationship with Josh Gattis:

Now, who knows how much of that is "coach speak", but I think it's pretty encouraging nonetheless. I for one am much more positive about Gattis after his move to the sidelines this past week. I really enjoyed seeing his passion and how he interacted with the players.

Absolutely! Hoping the confidence the guys seemed to have will carry over. I admittedly was paying a bit more attention than usual to the sidelines because of the Gattis move, but to me it even seemed like Harbaugh had more energy with Gattis down there, too.

If we're being honest, both Drevno and Pep stuck around a year longer than they should have. Both were reportedly looking for a soft exit, didn't find it, and then came back another season - only to be fired without any sort of soft landing.

Pep was here for 2 seasons - I don't see how he could realistically been here for less time. He wasn't getting fired after the year where he had no QB and freshman WRs and a disaster of an OL. Our offense jumped a full 60 spots in S&P the next year and he still got fired. Jim moved on from Pep pretty damn fast - there's an argument to be made that we did so too fast.

I think you are much more positive about Gattis now because they got to annihilate a collapsing Rutgers team last weekend. If we somehow fail to score 20+ points vs Iowa or really whatever number of points is required to win, you ll likely find a reason to see him being on the sidelines and on good terms with Harbaugh as a negative.
