Good effort guys.......

If we couldn't get a win, I hoped to see a competitive game, and you gave us that.  Thanks for a great season

And Fuck Duke.

Miss a buzzer-beater to tie 1 seed Duke in the Third Round.

Not too shabby for what was supposed to be the last-place finisher in the Big Ten.

Shitty result, but phenomenal season.

There's nothing more we could ask from this team. Obviously this hurts, but I don't think these guys are going to have regrets when they look back on this game years from now.

Great game by the wolverines today against a great team like Duke. Nationally, this will give some props to Michigan and the program!! Maybe some recruits will be enticed to join our Wolverines

These kids make  you proud of them every time they take the floor.  What a great effort against a very good Duke team that probably thought we would fold when they went up by 15.  Great comeback and 100% effort right up to the final buzzer.

what a season.

everybody predictd under.500 season because of harris/sims's departures and the youngest rosters.

ended up being #8 seed and came so close almost beating #1 seed (who i had winning it all in my bracket).

ahh cant wait for next season!!!

I'm literallly feeling sick for Darius Morris.

As devasting as it is for us fans, for a kid who worked his a** off the whole season and kept his team in the game despite the odds....well...I just can't imagine how he feels.

Keep your head up young fella.  Darkest before the dawn...yadda yadda.

I feel a little better now. I know I'm probably a little biased, but Duke seemed to get a lot of calls today. I hate Duke even more now, but I still respect the way they win consistently. Congratulations on a very good season Wolverines! I'm really looking forward to next season. Go Blue

Congratulations on being the most easty to root for, overachieving, hardworking and surprisingly talented SOB's I've ever had the pleasure of watching. When that last shot didn't sink... I wasn't even sad but for a moment.

What a fucking game. What a fucking battle. I would try and limit my swearing, but that game sunk my soul into oblivion. I fucking love this team. FUCK DUKE

And so ends the most entertaining season of Michigan Basketball in at least a decade.  What an inspiring group to root for.

No doubt in my mind that this team will be ranked to begin next season, and unlike last year's squad they will live up to it.  Such an exciting future.

Go Blue.

This loss stings quite a bit. To see our team battle back so strongly only to fall short is tough to stomach and will certainly dull my enthusiasm to watch too much more college basketball. With that being said though, I can't emphasize enough how proud I am of our team. Their determination and skill in schooling Duke down the stretch was impressive and something that our program can build off of for years to come. Morris played phenomenal down the stretch even with the unlucky bounce at the end, and Hardaway Jr. showed that he has a true sense of the moment with how he stepped up in the last few minutes. With another year to grow and no seniors graduating, this team has a chance to truly be special next season. I absolutely cannot wait to watch this team next year.

Well done team.  A really fun team to root for, even through all the highs and lows.  This was great experience for next year's deep tourny run.

and at the risk of being the typical whiney michigan fun, but seriously!?!?!?!?!  Why all of the calls?  It's crazy how much college basketball likes to protect their important teams.  SO frustrating watching basketball refs.

Also, what's with Morgan always getting into foul trouble?  It's not always the refs' fault.  I mean come on Jordan.  Try to stay in the game.

I would say wow all the calls both ways at some points.  It seemed a bit frustrating that for about a 5 minute span neither team went down the court without a foul being called.  I think a lot of the times the refs were put in positions they had to make a call, sometimes they made ticky tack calls, but it happened a bit both ways.  Refs didn't lose the game.

Michigan played a pretty good game and they did a great job coming back.  Hope for great things next year, this was a season that was much more exciting and happy than most, including myself, predicting.

Not going to blame the refs.

I will say, though, that I find it slighlty ironic that Singler's foul on Novak on isi rebound on the final missed free throw was quite a bit worse than some of the fouls called all game.

The refs for the Butler/Pitt game were not impressed.

Duke has been getting away with playing "Duke Defense" for as long as Coach K has been there.  This, of course, means "no blood, no foul."  Meanwhile, refs always call touch fouls on the opponent at the other end of the floor.

It's not just Michigan; it's everyone who has ever played Duke.  I'm amazed they don't win it all every year with a team full of the best McDonald's All Americans money can buy and the elusive 7-on-5 advantage every game.

As long as the media sycophants play along, Duke will continue to have that advantage.

Michigan basketball is back and in good hands with Beilein and company. This makes me happy. Wolverines don't die, you have to kill em' and from here on out this team is going to be doing the killing, mauling everyone the fuck off their court.

I should add that I've been following this team religiously since I was 10 with the Fab 5. It's been tough being so close so many years, but it feels like they've laid the foundation for success have finally turned the corner for good. Belien, returning the whole team, the rapid improvement, the practice facility, Trey Burke, Carlton Brundridge, hopefully a bump in recruiting, the future is bright. Horford developing and an extra big and this team is scary good.

That's a Duke team that had three players that are just better than our best three at this point in their careers.  Back in late January, who would have thought this team was capable of this level of play against a nationally dominant opponent in a tournament game?

I'd like to lie and say me.

This loss stings more than a 15 point loss. Its a BETTER loss and am glad we fought back, but definitely a dagger in the heart when missing that last shot.

This team and this season far surpassed fan and media expectations. Playing the way this team did, for as young as they were, against the likes of Kansas, Duke, and that team in Ohio...I don't think anyone could have asked for more. They've made Michigan basketball a force to be reckoned with once again and the future is bright for Beilein's bunch. I can't wait for next year when the Michigan Wolverines play for the Big Ten title! Go Blue!

I'm still unsettled - my body feels tension like it's waiting for the last shot to fall - damn, it isn't going to fall.

The end of this season feels different than any I remember.  It's not just b/c they outplayed expectations or b/c there is so much upside, but b/c this team was so fun to watch.  I"m just sad I won't be able to watch them for another year.

Maybe some fall sport will steal my attention.

The way the team turned it around helps everything.

I haven't missed many games throughout the year even if I had to follow gamecast or whatever but I really believe they have a solid program ready to make the next step forward.

Michigan will be talked about much more next year and with the expansion of Crisler, things are looking good for a change.

All that being said I just thought about how nice it would have been to have to watch the hockey and basketball tournaments next weekend. Didn't want it to end today.

I thought the worst call of the day was on the Duke big guy, he shuffled his feet then threw up a shot that went in then they called a foul to boot. Michigan would drive in get hacked and luckily they made the shot but it would have been nice to have gotten a couple and 1's on our side.

That being said, if anyone is going to get calls it's the Duke program. I was much more upset that Michigan got bent over in the B10 tournament game and the refs took care of a *****ing freshmen.

Not only do we have some talent and experience coming back, these guys fight through everything put in their way including bad calls. Well I think the refs got to them last week against osu but they fought back at the end regardless.

Did I mention it feels good to have a basketball program again??

for exceeding expectations, for beating all of the media predictions, and for giving Coach Beilein such a great effort.  Because they wouldn't be coming back, and they'd be done.

But I don't see any "moral victories" with Duke.  Duke wouldn't settle for a "great effort."

All our guys are coming back, and I hope Coach Beilein doesn't tell them how happy he is that they got this far.  I want these guys to know how fun it was to get to where they got, and how hard the work is to get to the top of the Conference.  I hope this loss hurts them all, and gets them to rededicate themselves, because I'd like them all to work their asses off and get ready to beat teams like Kansas, OSU and Duke next year.  "Close" doesn't cut it.

They made real progress in the past six weeks, and this was a good game to watch.  I just hope it makes our guys hungrier, because I am like Jalen; I hate Duke, and "coming close" is nothing, as far as I am concerned.
