The men’s hoops squad hosts Toledo at Crisler in the first round of the NIT this evening at 7:00 pm EDT with a broadcast on ESPN2.
It’s “win, or clean out your locker” time..
There’s been noticeable development at certain positions. Hoping the team plays smart, protects the ball, moves well, and takes advantage of the home court.

On another note, the TAMU CC Islanders are playing one of the first four in games right now. Drove by their campus to and from the golf course today. Hope they win this year. Lost the play in game last year.

Plenty of guys that are "gone" will play in this tournament. If you were hurting your draft stock by playing like Jett is, then yeah, that's when you don't play.
To his credit I think his ankle was bothering him even when he came back but wanted to help the team win. The problem was that his production on that injured ankle wasn't great and likely hurt the team defensively.
Ah well, we'll see how this team looks without him.
There's videos on Twitter of him literally taking half court shots during warmups in his tracksuit before the game. It's becoming semi-organized AAU levels of comedy.

For what it's worth, shooting a hardly elevated half-court shot doesn't mean much for an ankle. It isnt sprinting, actually jumping, and shuffling laterally.
Yeah, I saw that video. He was also out there cheering the guys on. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt he was seeing if he could go.
The ankle wasn’t the reason he decided not to box out the free throw shooter against Rutgers. He’s clearly sitting the NIT out for the NBA.
Us winning puts the spotlight squarely on him playing the next game or not....four days is ample time to heal from this...
And it'll be another 4 days until the next game. Let's see how the ankle is doing then. My guess is the ankle will still not be exactly perfect.

Which whatever right? Good for him - he is a talented young man who has a future somewhere professionally but I started to wonder weeks ago whether Juwan was trying to "showcase" him with specific play-calls and sets.....

I would NOT be happy if Jett married my daughter if I had one.
He played very well and very disciplined (with one exception on the back door attempt) in the Indiana game. It was a look at “what could be” just enough to make it brutal when he moves on. That’s life with one and dones. He still disappeared down the stretch in that game which makes me think he doesn’t have “IT.”
I'll say this now - Jett being out for this game is going to be the ultimate Rorscach test for UM fans in this game almost regardless of outcome.

This is a tough one. I'm having to balance my disappointment in the season with my general excitement watching our beloved Wolverines. However, I understand that how I feel pales in comparison to how those young men feel. I'll cheer them on, nevertheless! Michigan has my heart, my soul, and has had a good chunk of my money. LOL The place still gave to me more than I could ever give to it.
