Fuck Spectrum and Disney
How in the fuck do you remove all of your stations from Spectrum at the goddamn start of the goddamn college football season.
I spend $200/month to these whores. I also pay for espn plus just in case. Now I can't watch any of it?
Fuck ESPN, DISNEY, CHARTER SPECTRUM AND THEIR MOTHERS
September 1st, 2023 at 12:55 AM ^
Finally cut the cord because ATT & Fox have been feuding and I wasn’t going to have football games taken away from me. YTTV was great. The 4 game multiview was awesome.
September 1st, 2023 at 1:29 AM ^
Way to rub it in...
September 1st, 2023 at 5:46 AM ^
I gotta figure out how to do it while still having my main channels. I pay almost $300 a month to spectrum and they pull that shit! Disneys not innocent either. ESPN is basically a paywall for any news that’s all over the web for free. Unfortunately where I’m at, spectrum is my only choice for anything not dish related.

Starlink and yttv?
September 1st, 2023 at 6:55 AM ^
Starlink doesn’t seem like it would be any less by the time I pay for streaming services. $120 a month for internet doesn’t seem like a good deal.
September 1st, 2023 at 7:45 AM ^
Both would be significantly less than $300 over a year (even when you prorate the cost of the starlink equipment over that time).
September 1st, 2023 at 7:07 AM ^
I just do Spectrum internet and YTTV. It's $85 for Spectrum and YTTV runs me about $80, but that includes HBO/MAX.
September 1st, 2023 at 10:56 AM ^
YTTV has gotten expensive, but it's still way cheaper than going through most of the cable subscriptions (it's also a better product IMO).
I pay comcast about $110/month for internet + no data cap. And YTTV is $72/month. Combined for $182/month. It's about to decrease for me because I'm getting ATT fiber (which just became an option for me) and that drops the internet costs $40/month. 5 years ago when I made the switch, I was paying comcast something like $280/month for functionally the same thing.
September 1st, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
I ended up switching my phone bill over to Comcast and it has saved me a ton of money on the whole. With internet (i have upgraded internet for gaming purposes), cable, & my unlimited phone (which works better than the tmobile plan I had) Im just under 200 total. It would be lower if I signed a contract but I said I was unwilling to tie myself to them with any sort of contract.
I feel like if youre in a generally well populated area with multiple internet options the whole cut the cord idea ends up costing you more and giving you more bills to sort through.
September 1st, 2023 at 5:07 PM ^
Go with Dish or DirecTV. We have Dish and I get all the college stations and almost ever station for football for 120 a month if new customer it is like 69.99 and you can always add on Big ten plus or others. $300 is ridiculous. I hate the way TV has gone as there are so many options but to get it all it will cost as much as a car payment.
September 1st, 2023 at 8:57 AM ^
I cut everything a few years back. For football season I kick my buddy $150 and he activates a friends/family account on YTTV for 6 months for me. Can watch anywhere and beats coughing up $100/mo to AT&T or some other racket.
September 1st, 2023 at 10:04 AM ^
I do Spectrum internet and Hulu tv. Pause hulu for summer and pay zero for 3 months. Spec is $80/mo and Hulu is $83/mo but only 9 months per yr.
September 1st, 2023 at 12:55 AM ^
Sir this is a Wendy's.
September 1st, 2023 at 4:18 AM ^
1 spicy chicken sammich and a baconator fries
September 1st, 2023 at 9:18 AM ^
Now I'm starving and Wendy's Breakfast is bullshit. I guess we're suffering together.
September 1st, 2023 at 11:04 AM ^
Seriously, how can they fuck up breakfast by putting that disgusting bitter white paste they call "cheese" on their sandwiches? If they remove that and put one Kraft single on there it would be the greatest breakfast sandwich you can get at a fast food establishment! It pisses me off that they're missing such an opportunity!
I'm not saying they need the finest cheese in all the land, I'm just saying put something that at least resembles cheese on it!
September 1st, 2023 at 12:23 PM ^
I mean, you requested they put a Kraft American cheese single on it - we know you weren't asking for the "finest cheese in all the land"...
Kraft American Cheese should be shot into the sun.
September 1st, 2023 at 1:07 PM ^
how dare you
September 1st, 2023 at 1:34 PM ^
Raise your standards, Redneck! LOL!!
September 1st, 2023 at 1:40 PM ^
Next thing you know you're going to say kraft mac and cheese is trash. I won't tolerate it.
September 1st, 2023 at 9:05 AM ^
Bring back the square burgers.
September 1st, 2023 at 9:18 AM ^
Yes! The square burger. Forgot about that. Actually, I've pretty much forgotten about Wendy's. Probably at about the same time I got a heart cath...
September 1st, 2023 at 10:31 AM ^
I haven't eaten fast food in years... they don't make them square anymore? WTH?
September 1st, 2023 at 11:37 AM ^
I know -- so wrong.
September 1st, 2023 at 12:06 PM ^
Whoa... I dumped fast food 15 years ago but used to be a Wendy's regular and this is the first I'm learning of this. Shocking. Preposterous. Outrageous. Someone call Jackie Chiles. This aggression will not stand, man.
September 1st, 2023 at 10:34 AM ^
The guys at Spectrum think I'm just some dumb hick.
They said that to me, at a dinner!
TELL SPECTRUM NO, DON'T CUT CORNCOB TV
September 1st, 2023 at 9:21 AM ^
Was this reaction after she heard about Rachel Zegler?
September 1st, 2023 at 10:03 AM ^
It would have had to be before.
September 2nd, 2023 at 7:16 AM ^
Disney even screwed up the new Snow White !
September 1st, 2023 at 1:05 AM ^
This should be OT.
Michigan and the Big Ten have nothing to worry about, as our games (until the CFP) are on Fox, NBC, CBS, and Peacock.
Wasn’t that Nebraska-Minnesota opener great?
September 1st, 2023 at 1:09 AM ^
No it sucked
Those two teams will be lucky to win 7 games combined
September 1st, 2023 at 2:13 AM ^
But but but Minnesota is a “trap game”
September 1st, 2023 at 10:14 AM ^
Camping, and I couldn’t watch Minnesota/Nebraska on my spectrum app. It said I needed to be connected to home WiFi. Wtf
September 1st, 2023 at 11:07 AM ^
I had same issue with Xfinity. I just opened the fox sports app and it worked there.
September 1st, 2023 at 1:15 AM ^
An underrated Seinfeld episode.

Step to the curb!
George with his hat on backwards is truly a sight.
September 1st, 2023 at 12:07 PM ^
I want to be a mimbo.
September 1st, 2023 at 1:10 AM ^
The worst aspect of Spectrum for us: internet bandwidth (up- and download speeds) are a minimum of one order of magnitude less than advertised.
September 1st, 2023 at 8:11 AM ^
I was living the Spectrum internet hell as I awaited Google Fiber to FINALLY get installed in my neighborhood. Took like 3 or 4 years from initial installation of the boxes in the ground to service hook-up at my house. With fiber I am getting 800 to 900 Mbps up and download speeds consistently compared to like 50 Mpbs upload and 15 Mpbs download with Spectrum. And I pay $5 per month less.
September 1st, 2023 at 1:15 AM ^
How pathetic there was no prior notice, no nothing! Just felt like a baseball bat to the head.
When I called Spectrum, they offered me $15 credit and advise me to go to https://disneyespnfairdeal.com/ , where they apparently struck a deal with Fubo to accommodate their customers with a temporary solution, that's not free, but 25% off. What. a. joke. Now, you want me to pay for two services? Go fuck yourself!
September 1st, 2023 at 1:21 AM ^
I'm making that call first thing in the morning.
Well, maybe 3rd or 4th thing. Coffee ☕ always comes first.
September 1st, 2023 at 7:26 AM ^
What's also astonishing is that they have the audacity to advise the consumers to email complaints to Disney on their behalf (which is also in the link above). As if this extreme inconvenience wasn't enough, they want us to help fight their battle? Meanwhile, Disney's maliciously holding the consumers hostage until they blow up on Spectrum to bend. What a shit show. As a principle, t's time to find an alternative. Fuck Disney and Spectrum.
September 1st, 2023 at 8:08 AM ^
We received a notice. It looked like an ad.
September 1st, 2023 at 8:28 AM ^
What delivery method? Even the Spectrum CSR I spoke to said they were caught off guard as they got slammed with calls.
September 1st, 2023 at 10:28 AM ^
We got a letter. USPS.
September 1st, 2023 at 6:32 PM ^
UPDATE: It's worse than I thought. The letter they sent was about dropping various channels such as ESPNNews, for one example. It was also supposed to occur mid-Sept., not yesterday. Dropping all ESPN networks was not mentioned. So I'm with you and Darker Blue - Fuck Spectrum.
