On their 247 board, they're ripping on Michigan. Typical post:

"Over a car ride, are you kidding me? But Michigan can cheat their way to a national championship all the while their AD sits on the CFP committee while under NCAA investigation. What's wrong with this?"

Yeah... Fuck FSU.

Many FSU fans have been using this similar argument for some time now. To buttress their "FSU got screwed out of the playoffs" argument, many of them love to throw in, "they let Michigan in and they cheated!" While I agree these penalties are complete crap, it's fun watching their mental gymnastics now as they attempt to explain why their penalties are unjust and the result of retribution by the NCAA, while ours are fair.

Speaking entirely hypothetically, of course...

Suppose there was a program which employed a low-level staffer who had aspirations to espionage. Said staffer is more Maxwell Smart than James Bond and gets caught breaking some minor rules. NCAA investigates and finds that, while rules were broken, "Maxwell" acted alone. Undeterred, NCAA decides to punish head coach anyway, because he is responsible for "everything" in his program.

Hypothetical case winds up in front of a judge...

How does NCAA explain to judge the LACK of head coach punishment in FSU case?

Love that this comes out right after FSU throws a fit about not being included in the CFP. I know CFP and NCAA are separate organizations, but it just goes to show you that NCAA enforcement is more about punishing those you don't like than it is about "justice."

I can't prove it, but a dollar says we would never have heard of this if FSU had just taken their medicine after the CFP teams were announced.
