First of all, happy Veteran's day (& Marine Corps birthday) to others who have served!  

I use Windows to manage my work PC's desktop image... That image changes every few days to something beautiful from nature or geography.   

At some point in the last 24 hours, mine changed to this:

I'm taking this as a POS-tive "Sign" that we're going to BANG the shit out of PSU starting in exactly 24 hours from now with JH leading the charge!

We are the much better team, we should crush them. However, last year we crushed them in the first half and were down 17-16. Two halves of that we lose. I will always worry about being screwed by outliers!

This doesn't need its own thread but in case Purdue needs any reminder of where they stand, or our beloved commissioner a reminder where we stand, #3 ranked Purdue men's bball vs. whoever is on the app tomorrow and unranked Michigan vs whoever is on BTN in prime time at the exact same time.

Michigan will pay Purdue's bills as long as they let us, and/or as long as Michigan chooses to.

OSU 2022 and 2023 were the only major  games I was in the right time zone, and yet refused to watch live. I was next door to the stadium in 2022 and could have scored a ticket, but I couldn't go. Why not? I used to pump iron- albeit only like 80 pounds due to being more girlyman than Arnold- while cursing the image of Jim Tressel and his self righteous vest and tie for hours on end every year Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday at around 3:45 pm EST in fiery anger...but I digress. I get too emotional for these games. 

This year, I fear the stakes are too high for my fandom/sanity balance. 

So I'm going far from society to our farmland and being with my kids. I might hike, forage, bake bread, have a bonfire, anything to keep my mind off the game. 

So far it worked for the important OSU games. TCU, however, was also a game that I missed. I do not know what to do. Do I watch a PSU game and risk the butterfly effect, or keep my sanity and leave the Nittany-Schrodinger cat in the valley? Do I dare to open my laptop, watch the cat die until it is confirmed dead, taking away my undeserved and inflated, delusional sense of self importance and be blamed for the result (or potentially be given credit)? 

A timid and reflective Bang for the board.

for last year's ohio game i went hunting during the game.  got a deer, guttted it and skinned it while i was getting texts from family and friends re: score.  it was like an old testament sacrifice and it worked.  walked into the house to watch the last 4-5 minutes live.  a very fine day.  you don't have to do the OT sacrifice, but doing other things during the game is a good idea.  check the score on your phone from time to time. 

oh, and edwards just scored again...

HUGE game this weekend. Needless to say, I'm somewhat nervous. Nonetheless, I think Michigan ends up walking away with a fairly comfortable victory. After tomorrow, we begin talking about Football Armageddon IV.
