Congratulations. My most sincere wishes for a long, good, prosperous, happy, healthy life - filled with family & friends.
I think daughters / granddaughters have a genetic strength - similar to kryptonite - when they deal with their father / grandfather.
Good luck - have a ton of fun with that beautiful young lady - get her a Michigan Cheerleader outfit in a few years - and enjoy the journey.

Congrats gramps. I’ve got 2 yr old granddaughters and it’s the greatest thing ever. I’ve been planting subliminal messages since they were born. “Don’t let pop pop go to a nursing home”. God knows my kids would stuff my ass in there so fast your head would spin so they’re my only hope.

a gopher dug under the corner of my shop last winter. had to pay $3000 for concrete leveling this spring

This entire thread reminds me of one of my best Halloweens ever. I made me a couple of varment friends out of C4 (modeling clay) held together by some wire and spent the entire evening quoting Caddyshack. The 30% of people who got the references thought it was hilarious. The other 70% thought I was a golf-adjacent homeless man. Anyhow, let's kill some gophers tomorrow.
