The one video shows Olusegun Oluwatimi at center, Zinter at LG, and Trent’s Jones at RT.

Who are you looking forward to seeing this year? I’m excited for Derrick Moore. Michigan will need some pass rush specialists and I think Moore has a spot from day one. Minter will run a multiple defense and find ways to get Moore in the backfield, and then it’s up to Moore to make something happen. I think he could be a big contributor as Michigan will need to replace the pass rush of Hutchinson and Ojabo.

I am also excited to see a full season of Andrel Anthony with a healthy Ronnie Bell. Michigan’s passing offense has a chance to elite for the first time in a long time. Honestly, I think it was the right move for Sainristil to try out DB. Michigan has been looking for more ways to get Henning involved and this clears the way for that. While moving Mike to a position he can be successful at, even this late in his career.

I love Vastardis and he was great in Big Ten play, but Olu is definitely a step up. As crazy as that seems. Michigan’s line should be elite again this year. WR should be elite. RBs should be a minimum of top 3 Big Ten. QB will sort itself out. The offense should be top 10 again. The question is does the defense take a step back or do they stay about level from last year. Same terminology for Minter helps a bunch.

Minter runs a little different defense, but using the same terminology as Mike will help a ton. Just being in the same basic defense for a second year should be helpful to the whole team. Elston is a big step up in terms of coaching on the line. Then there is consistency with the rest of the staff. Everywhere Clinkscale has been has seen a nice jump in year two and you saw a lot of growth out of guys he coached last year. Having Jay and Minter back there too won’t hurt at all. I think Michigan’s secondary will be much improved this year. Losing Hill hurts but I think collectively the overall unit is a step up. Need to find some pass rush. I think there’s where Moore comes in. He’s an elite pass rusher, so he’ll get some opportunities.

I'm excited about the staff and the team for 2022.  I enjoyed last season as much as I've enjoyed any sporting season of my lifetime.  The offseason was a little messy but it still feels like the program is trending upward.  It is a blessing looking forward to Saturdays in the fall.

our offense will be fine, and very easily could be even better.

our defense will not be as 'fine' as we all hope.  not garbage, but we got very spoiled with two all-americans manning the ends of our D-line.

Do wheatley and harbaugh have beef because of how he left and not being offered the OC position? Just wondering how we could bring him back into the fold eventually? I know he's out in Denver coaching RBs, but... from a recruiting standpoint, we lost some stuff the past couple years and we probably need some locals who are legends and can coach too.

So who's leading the QB battle today?  (LOL - like anyone can answer that!  ANSWER MY QUESTIONS!!!)

This is happier news than MBB!  Women's gymnastics are B1G Champs, softball looks pretty strong (gee, what a surprise), WBB is LEGIT TOP TEN!!!, hockey is recording names whilst kicking everyone's ass.  What a late winter!!

Even men's bball is kicking ass...  (Too soon?)

How do they look, or is it too early to tell?

The filters the UM social team are using sort of cause everyone to have an unnatural red/yellow hue. Basically it looks like all the photos, even the ones indoors, are taken at the "golden hour".  But I could talk white/color balance all day...  overall the pictures look fine, the video is gone now. So it only exists in our memories.

I'm more curious on how both the offense and defense will look, as well as the play calling. I assume that it will be similar to last year, but of course, we have new offensive and defensive coordinators so that's not guaranteed.

I've seen more than a few posts about Vastardis that can be taken as being negative-by insinuating that Mr. OO is going to be a significant improvement. This may well be true but, per the optics I saw, Andrew Vastardis did an excellent job physically last year as well as being the "spiritual leader"-the heart and soul of the OL. That said, I do believe that next year's OL will be as good or better than last year's.

META: No reply button? Or did I miss an explanatory post?

Anyway -- RE: OO and Vastardis. Both of those things are true. Vastardis played very well last year, and OO may very well be an upgrade. That's not a slight -- our incoming center is Rimington-caliber.

I am really looking forward to seeing what Braiden McGregor can do. Hopefully we get some good production from him after losing Hutch. I also really want to see what Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum can do at RB. I have to believe that Edwards gets the RB1 spot.
