First 2016 Offer: Isaac Nauta, SDE, Buford, GA
Nauta was born in Grand Rapids and most of his family still lives in the Great Lakes State. One of those family members, Nauta's uncle, played for Greg Mattison while he was the defensive coordinator at Western Michigan.
Based on his tape it looks like he plays some TE as well. Rivals is reporting offers from Clemson, Tennessee and VT.
Obviosuly way to early, but has connections to Michigan and Mattison is his primary recruiter. Makes me wonder what Mattison will do at the end of this new contract extension, but I guess we will worry about that at a later date.
I'm having trouble keeping up with recruiting these days, as it seems like the recruits keep getting younger and younger.
The kid does look like he'll be great by the time he finishes high school.
Edit: This just in-- my sources tell me that Lane Kiffin just offered a sperm tadpole....he's got an extremely fast 40 time, good lateral quickness, but no hands.
I see what you did there. Brilliant! You win the internets today, good Sir.
Per 247, the sperm tadpole "has some wiggle" to his game.
I also hear Kiffin is trying desperately to get him to come.
Apparently his game film is only viewable through a microscope.
To jBDub: in the "old days" of voting, this post would have a great chance to reach triple digits.

I bet we'll have a leg up on him if we spell his name right in the title. Maybe he'll visit the blog to see what the fan base is like and be overwhelmed by the sight of his name spelled correctly in print and commit.
Damn, this kid is 15 years old. Crazy.
Geez, did the kid eat his family?
Issac. Sigh.
What about Darick Grean, though? Or Tie Issac? How wood they have dun?
It's actually spelled Brian'te Done.
FWIW, 247 Sports lists an offer for Illinois OT Erik Swenson in the 2016 class. I don't think it's a legitimate offer, but...well...it's been listed on there for a while, so Nauta might not be the first.
His dad is named Swen Swenson. That is all.

So is he then Swen Swensonson?

The coaches must be determined to field an all-Viking OL with Magnuson and Samuelson and now Swenson.
This seems a tad early I must say...
That's what she said.
Is it me or are we (and perhaps other universities in general) offering earlier and earlier? Didn't I read something on here about Saban offering an 8th grader or something?
Seems a bit... ridiculous. But I suppose this is a good part to bring up that our staff is good at catching guys early before they blowup on the ranking sites and the early courting by Michigan definitely helps us significantly with top recruits.
USC / Lane Kiffin does a lot of this too... I guess the theory is to get them really excited about your program early and then, if they don't pan out, pull the offer or make it not commitable
I-S-A-A-C!! TWO A's! ONE "S"! THERE IS NO SUCH NAME AS "ISSAC" AND THE MORE YOU MISSPELL IT THE MORE PEOPLE THINK IT'S AN ACTUAL ALTERNATIVE SPELLING!!
YES, I AM SHOUTING AT ALL OF YOU BECAUSE YOU ALL DO THIS ALL THE TIME, AND IF YOU ARE THE EXCEPTION THEN YOU KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PROBLEM TO NOT MIND!!!
THIS IS NOT FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!!! WHY IS EVERYONE STARING AT ME?!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!

The International Symposium on Symbolic and Algebraic Computation would like a word with you.
2016 is going to be awesome. I can't wait to get my flying car.
