Not the last.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:07 PM ^
Seems ominous...
September 30th, 2020 at 9:07 PM ^
covid / homesick related?
the others freshman as well?
September 30th, 2020 at 9:07 PM ^
Not the last true freshman or the last player?
September 30th, 2020 at 9:07 PM ^
why, who, and what's the hap?
September 30th, 2020 at 9:13 PM ^
Gave Seth a heads up two weeks ago. Just 1-2 more announcements left.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:22 PM ^
Can you covertly share more ?
September 30th, 2020 at 10:52 PM ^
covertly share on a message board?
September 30th, 2020 at 10:59 PM ^
Blink once if it's an offensive player, twice if defense. Type in bold if it's a starter, italics if freshman, and use the @ symbol when spelling out the name to throw everyone off the scent
September 30th, 2020 at 11:14 PM ^
OSU has everyone running to get back in. Our guys are running out.
Why?
October 1st, 2020 at 12:12 AM ^
MGO- because OSU is playing for a national championship. Michigan is not.
ps- your wife is beautiful, but per the comments sounds like she has even better character.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:09 PM ^
Well that doesn’t sound great.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:13 PM ^
Umbig11 is not an insider. In January, he was saying Filiaga was the next to leave. The last time I checked, he was still on the roster.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:16 PM ^
I’m not sayin you are right or wrong, but the season hasn’t started yet. So anything is possible at this point. Still a chance Fliliaga could leave or not.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:20 PM ^
My gut tells me it could be a guy like Vilain. Big time recruit who just hasn’t had much luck in Ann Arbor. Maybe a change of scenery would do him some good.
am I warm UMBig?
September 30th, 2020 at 9:24 PM ^
Wrong
Joe Milton is leaving and taking the entire starting offensive line with him.
Josh Gattis will conjure up the ghost of Nick Sherridans 2008 season to guide us to an ass blasting of Minnesota in week 1
September 30th, 2020 at 9:25 PM ^
Lol, nope. I just know weeks before you do :)
September 30th, 2020 at 9:36 PM ^
Fair. Had to ask.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:41 PM ^
In looking over Don Brown’s stories today, he mentions lots of guys. One I didn’t hear is Mazi Smith. Unfortunately my guess could be him. That seems odd. DB literally named tons of guys.
October 1st, 2020 at 4:54 AM ^
Charles Thomas or Quentin Johnson would be my guess. We haven't heard a peep about them and they were talked about a lot in the past. I don't know anything, just a guess.
October 1st, 2020 at 3:39 PM ^
I had the same thought---how did he not get mentioned? Very ominous, especially considering the lack of real depth at his position.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:35 PM ^
Maybe He was next to leave, and didn’t. He has more of an ear to the program then you and others on this forum.
October 1st, 2020 at 8:44 AM ^
Interesting. You replied to yourself a few minutes later and you had a few less positive reviews in your totals (avoiding the word). What did you get negged for saying????
October 1st, 2020 at 1:43 PM ^
Remember when UMBig11 posted the morning of a game that CB Hill was not dressed due to concussion protocol? Hill not only dressed, he started, and played well.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:34 PM ^
Are these likely depth chart related due to the extra year of eligibility? There's going to be an awful lot of players with 3-4 years of eligibility on roster next year.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:11 PM ^
What the hell?
September 30th, 2020 at 9:13 PM ^
Thank god I never heard of him so I don't feel bad
September 30th, 2020 at 9:18 PM ^
Sexy, bougie, rachet.
Osman Savage!
You'll be missed.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:37 PM ^
The fact that I'm not going to see Savage to remind me of Sword, Steele and Sweat pains me more than it should.
October 1st, 2020 at 12:41 AM ^
You left out Irons...
September 30th, 2020 at 9:37 PM ^
UMBig was this COVID or PT related?
September 30th, 2020 at 9:40 PM ^
Was actually excited to see him make a contribution as an upperclassman, but the depth chart can be tough sledding and guys are undoubtedly reevaluating in light of COVID-19. Wish him luck.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:53 PM ^
Interesting considering he was more highly regarded than some of his freshman lb classmates by composite but was much lower by 247.
seems kind of early to leave for depth chart reasons.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:55 PM ^
I don't know this kid's specific reason for entering the portal, but in general, the constant movement of players into the Portal is tainting the beauty of college football to me. It is becoming to easy of a way out in my opinion. This kid may have a legitimate reason, however, I am just saying making a general statement.
September 30th, 2020 at 10:09 PM ^
No doubt, we need more beautying the taint instead.
October 1st, 2020 at 9:18 AM ^
No, it is not. The transfer portal is giving young kids who believe they made mistakes to correct their mistakes instead of be screwed over. Many young adults leave a college after realizing early on some kind of fit issue.
I see it all the time. The portal is for players, not fans. Maybe relinquish your ideas of the player-fan relationship and think about these adults doing what is best for their lives.
September 30th, 2020 at 10:14 PM ^
Damn, I was really excited for Savage. 2nd best LB in this class
October 1st, 2020 at 4:59 AM ^
Has anyone that left this program flourished anywhere else? I can't think of one. I know they have played, but has there been a "damn wish he didn't transfer" we could have used that?
October 1st, 2020 at 6:59 AM ^
As of late, St Juste? I remember Keith Washington having a pick 6 the same day we lost a game and a good bunch of the message board bitching about that, but that’s just how things are around here. We do have 2 former guys that will probably (?) start (?) for Rutgers this fall in Dwumfor and Singleton. I don’t know about you but until proven otherwise I’d prefer to keep 100% of any plausible DT shaped objects.
October 1st, 2020 at 8:52 AM ^
DT shaped objects that we recruited that have done practically nothing on that side of the ball:
Dwumfour
Solomon
Hudson
Irving-Bey
Malone-Hatcher
Paea
Everyone one of those guys was a 4 star or better.
October 1st, 2020 at 9:37 AM ^
Your larger point still stands, but Paea was a three-star and the 13th-ranked player in MI for his class, and Dwumfour was barely inside the national top-1000.
October 1st, 2020 at 12:23 PM ^
One game and all that, but in watching the UT game on Saturday I'm guessing we didn't miss much on Solomon either.
300 pounder D-lineman from high school are such crap shoots I don't understand why anyone is surprised when it doesn't work out.
We've missed on a lot of them right now, which is why we are in a world of hurt on the D-line. Whether that's a function of Brown or Mattison being on the way out the door, we'll never know.
October 1st, 2020 at 9:16 AM ^
I’m not sure if this counts but Rashad Weaver is killing it at Pitt after decommitting from UM a couple years ago.
October 1st, 2020 at 9:58 AM ^
No it doesn't. We are talking portal departures, or just transfers.
October 1st, 2020 at 8:42 AM ^
Just curious how you are rating those? I assume the 247 composite.
He clearly was the 3rd best in practices - or 4th now that Wheeler is a full go. (Remember West Bloomfield runs a version of Brown’s offense which would be an advantage.)
He was also 3rd best in 247’s rankings - (88 vs. 90 for Hill Green and Mullings even higher)
Side Note: Resident “Michigan expert” over at the RCMB, Johnny 2x, noted that Savage was “one of our top recruits” in the class... To clarify (as I know he reads MGo religiously) while Savage would have been the TOP recruit in the MSU class - by a significant margin - he was #12 of 23 in the M class.
Good Luck Osman- I am sure the terps would be ecstatic to get you in the fold.
September 30th, 2020 at 10:15 PM ^
Remember, since this season does not count against eligibility, a true freshman could leave and not even give up his redshirt season. Losing some amount of eligibility was always something that dissuaded people that were on the fence from jumping. But now, an 18yo kid who's away from his family for the first time that gets homesick is liable to just toss his hands up and say "F*** it, I'm going home." What's holding him back?
September 30th, 2020 at 10:19 PM ^
Well at least he had a good run
