I am miserably inept with IT skills Caeser. Headline on ESPN website.

You can't copy and paste a URL? You're just being fuckin lazy.

It's harder to make a post here than it is to copy and paste.

Such an informative thread. I even see a link! Oh wait...

such a useful comment. thanks for all you add here

The sad thing is I'm pretty sure he thinks he's being really witty with his comments. I guess all you really do need is just an audience of one.

good. hope she’s punished to the maximum extent of the law
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:08 PM ^
So, since it's not in the OP, here's the nuggets:
- Warrant has been made for her arrest.
- Charged with two counts of lying to peace officers, one felony and one misdemeanor. In Michigan it is a felony to lie to investigators about major crimes.
- Between the two she's looking at up to 6 years in prison.
- The lies she told to investigators include being unaware of any misconduct by Nasser prior to 2016. She was found later to have gymnasts report abuse going back 20 years.
- Her attorney has been informed that she has to the end of the week to turn herself in.
GR posted the link. It's in top headlines on ESPN.

2-4 years in prison is not harsh enough and it doesn't feel like justice.
If she would have believed the two teen girls in 1997 and actually done something, hundreds of victims could have been spared over the next 20 years.
She's getting off easy.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:19 PM ^
Exactly this. It's pitiful. She should rot with Nasser.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:56 PM ^
Fully agree that the relatively light potential sentence does not truly fit the scope of all the damage that was done. But, it is somewhat refreshing to see that this horrible human being will finally have to face the victims and get, at least, some of what she truly deserves. I was growing concerned that everyone had washed their hands of the atrocities at MSU and Klages was going to walk away unscathed.
Pretty sure there are another trainer or two who still have some splainin' to do.

I agree that bread crumbs are better than nothing. I just wish there was more.
This is Penn State all over again. You just ignore it and ignore it and ignore it year after year, decade after decade and you STILL do nothing.
It's beyond comprehension. Screw her.

Think about it. Nassar's youngest victims weren't even born in 1997!

Lock Her Up

One of the reasons -- the main reason -- I have been so curious about the additional MSU scandal Umbig11 has hinted at is because I really want to see Mork et. al. get what is coming to them for running athletic programs with such piss poor ethics. This may not be one of the big fish but at least it's a step in the right direction, and I hope there is more to come.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:31 PM ^
whoa... mork is going down? was umbig11 referring to perhaps, the rampant steroid use? we all know bullough got caught and didnt play in rose bowl because of it.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:38 PM ^
As best I can remember, Umbig11 reported in late July that someone in the media had some more info regarding a previously reported MSU scandal, which allegedly included some proof that Mork tried to cover something up. Initially he thought it might come out relatively soon but yesterday in his "ND info" post he was asked about it and had no update. He speculated that the OSU mess may have pushed it into the background.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:51 PM ^
if it got pushed to the background, then i doubt it has any real teeth.
August 23rd, 2018 at 2:05 PM ^
Umbig11 (I hate to keep speaking for him ... sorry) seemed to initially think it was pretty big. But of course more digging by whichever outlet has the material could have changed that. Or they may be finding more and so it's taking longer. Who knows?
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:52 PM ^
I'm sure Joe Rexrode is diligently pursuing the matter from Nashville.
August 23rd, 2018 at 2:03 PM ^
That's one of the biggest problems in all of this. The reporters covering OSU and MSU for local outlets are such fanboys that no one wants to dig any deeper. That's why ESPN had to release the Mork/Izzo stuff last winter, and why a fired ESPN reported had to break the OSU stuff. The local media report the initial story (because they have to), then ask no further questions because they want shit to go away just as much as the teams and coaches they cover.
And Michigan got dragged through the ringer for months because some players practiced too much.
August 23rd, 2018 at 2:07 PM ^
PEDs weren't the issue with Bullough.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:50 PM ^
It's about goddamned time.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:55 PM ^
IMHO she's almost as much to blame as Nassar himself. She should spend a long, long time in prison.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:55 PM ^
She should be in prison and it's nuts that it took this long
August 23rd, 2018 at 2:06 PM ^
Okay as an ugly fat bastard myself, how the hell does someone who looks like this coach gymnastics? How can she demonstrate anything?
August 23rd, 2018 at 2:41 PM ^
4 years isn't nearly long enough compared to what she deserves.

August 23rd, 2018 at 10:59 PM ^
Meanwhile, at least one of the DO school professors who cleared Nassar in the sham 2015 Title IX investigation remains on their faculty...
August 23rd, 2018 at 10:59 PM ^
She is one of the primary enablers of Nassar. I don’t think ESPN / other outlets have mentioned her anywhere near as much as they should up until now.
She should be locked up.
August 23rd, 2018 at 11:52 PM ^
It's despicable. I'm exhausted by the amount of known injustice that goes on and people who should know better allow it.
