Euro 2016: Championship Game - Portugal vs. France, 3:00pm EDT, ESPN

Crazy that this tournament lasted a month, but we are at the end.  Hosts France face a Portugal team who has game-managed their way into the final.  It's Griezmann versus Ronaldo.

You clearly haven't torn a meniscus or ligament. Dude's knee bent in. Though he is a drama queen, guy is a baller and has more pressure on him than about any other player. Portugal wouldn't be here without him. Headlines if he doesn't try to stay on, but he did two times. You are really off base here.

I'm by no means a Ronaldo fan, but I wouldn't call anything except the first fall flailing. And obviously he was injured. The second and third time he went down to get off the field. All he did was sit there and look distraught. If you can't continue then getting the game stopped so you can get off the field (especially when France has momentum) is the smartest thing you can do. I actually give home credit for trying. And as a 35 year soccer player, i can certainly say that I've had some injuries or pain on the field that required flailing.

I now find myself rooting for Portugal. But this game is going to get ugly -- there wont be much freedom of movement. And Portugal is already going to play for 0-0 and penalty kicks.

...but I appreciate how he's reinvented himself as he's aged. The way he played ten years ago wasn't likely to work in his thirties, so he turned himself into a great box player and poacher. It'll probably buy him an extra four years of productive play.
