Knew this day was coming, but still sad. Glad I was able to watch and appreciate the GOAT's career
January 29th, 2022 at 2:40 PM ^
UGH now Rob F is posing content less OPs as well. The disease is spreading.
January 29th, 2022 at 2:41 PM ^
LOL, ESPN's link didn't immediately show up on my phone when I searched.

All Hail The Goat!
January 29th, 2022 at 2:42 PM ^
A bit sad, but the Goat went out style rallying his team from down 27-3 to 27 all before losing playoff game to Rams in last seconds. The fact his team won a Super Bowl the year before says a lot about his long and amazing 10 Super Bowl career. Hope he is healthy after all the hits he took the last game. Look forward to seeing him in a broadcast booth or in any public endeavor he may end up pursuing. Mostly hope he stays healthy and happy.
January 29th, 2022 at 2:46 PM ^
Ummm, you really think he's interested in broadcasting?
Run that thought past his wife, it's a hard NO.
Go live the life you've earned as the best read qb in history.
January 29th, 2022 at 2:49 PM ^
He will be sitting in the stands watching his kids doing what ever they want to do.
Enjoy retirement Tom!
January 29th, 2022 at 2:52 PM ^
Athlete or not, I hope they all go to Michigan.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:07 PM ^
Agreed. Tom Brady doesn't need broadcasting. The whole point of this retirement was to be able to spend more time with his family based on the reports. I don't see how broadcasting fits into that.
January 29th, 2022 at 5:02 PM ^
Now that you mention it, I don't necessarily think he would be interested. Had read he might be a broadcast somewhere on the internet which means probably has a low chance of being true. Happen to agree with your sentiments on reflection.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:02 PM ^
He's going to run for President.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:10 PM ^
In Soviet Russia, the President runs to you.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:10 PM ^
LOL
/s. politics ? Russkies Imperialism
January 29th, 2022 at 3:12 PM ^
He has his podcast, that's enough for him.
January 29th, 2022 at 2:43 PM ^
Brady for DC!
January 29th, 2022 at 2:44 PM ^
All part of the plan. Heard he and Giselle were in AA the other day with a realtor. JH is going to MIN and Brady will be announced as the new HC

You have to be happy for him. What a stud.
January 29th, 2022 at 2:47 PM ^
Go, Blue! What a career.
January 29th, 2022 at 2:54 PM ^
Thank you Michigan Man. Enjoy retirement.
January 29th, 2022 at 2:59 PM ^
The greatest QB ever. The greatest living American. A UM treasure. Not much else to say.
January 29th, 2022 at 4:02 PM ^
The greatest living American? That’s a highly dubious claim. Greatest QB seems a good place to stop.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:00 PM ^
Good timing. Left on his own terms, still healthy.
Possible he could have made one more run at a SB, but not that likely.
How great that he's able to retire without an ugly end-of-career decline.
Well done, TB. Congratulations on an amazing career.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:45 PM ^
Going out near the top of his game is the only way for the GOAT to retire. That just makes his legacy even greater, amazing as that may seem. He definitely made the right decision. I hope he has a great retirement.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:46 PM ^
Still healthy and still playing at an elite level, unlike Big Ben, both Mannings, Montana etc. who all were sad versions of their championship selves when they retired.
January 29th, 2022 at 4:05 PM ^
While Manning had clearly lost it by the time he retired, he did manage to win a Super Bowl in his last season thanks to a loaded Denver defense.
January 29th, 2022 at 4:06 PM ^
Leaving near the top ... at 44. Amazing.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:00 PM ^
It's incredible that there are people - about age 26 or so - old enough to have been a working, taxpaying adult for as long as they were in college, and legitimately complain about not being young anymore, and who don't know a world where Tom Brady wasn't in the NFL.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:04 PM ^
Tom Brady is the Wayne Gretzky of Jim Harbaughs.
January 29th, 2022 at 4:24 PM ^
The Gordie Howe of Jim harbaughs. Gretzky has always maintained Gordie was the greatest, and Gordie definitely played longer and spanning more decades than any other human. Uncle Gordie was #1, always and forever.

The G.O.A.T and a Michigan Man
HAIL
January 29th, 2022 at 3:12 PM ^
When you're the GOAT you can do whatever you please when you retire. Thanks for the memories Tom!
January 29th, 2022 at 3:17 PM ^
Good luck TB12.
You could be playing tomorrow if your DC hadn't called a cover zero blitz allowing Stafford to throw the winning td bomb to Kupp. Oh well, helluva career. Canton here he comes.
January 29th, 2022 at 3:51 PM ^
He certainly did enough this season. There was no drop off on his part. He goes out at the very top.
January 29th, 2022 at 11:48 PM ^
A shot of Four Roses MAIZE Label in honor of the GOAT ? !!
January 29th, 2022 at 3:17 PM ^
...from the NFL to be Michigan's new NIL director!
January 29th, 2022 at 3:17 PM ^
Better to leave now than regress and be remembered for staying too long. Not to mention how many more hits can he endure.
What a fabulous career with so many great moments. GOAT for sure!
January 29th, 2022 at 4:31 PM ^
I'm pretty sure people have been saying that about him for the last decade and it didn't both him then. Must be something different now
January 29th, 2022 at 3:19 PM ^
I was in Michigan Stadium on a glorious September day in 98 when Tom Brady won the biggest game of his career, beating Sparty. Lose that day and it becomes the Drew Hensen show.
Was in old Foxboro Stadium when Bledsoe went down against the Jets, then when TB had his first start and beat Indy and Manning. Wore my Michigan football sweatshirt that day. Last game in old dump for the Snow Bowl / Tuck Rule game v Raiders. Son was born the Monday before the 1st SB win.
All the great games and memories at Gillette, too many to list. Super Bowl victories and the parades in Boston. Was in AZ for worst loss against the Giants in the SB going for perfection.
Thanks for all the wonderful memories and moments TB. Good luck and best wishes for your future. GO BLUE. GO PATS

Avatar checks out.
But what were you doing stalking a college campus 1998, cougar?
January 29th, 2022 at 3:19 PM ^
Was hoping the rumors were false; really wanted him to get that 8th ring...

? Will have to settle for a measly 7

Riggs: It’s….something more than that, it’s…
Murtaugh: You’re getting too old for this shit
Riggs: ….yeah…
Murtaugh: How ‘bout that? Finally…
Riggs: But, I can’t be, I’m only….Jesus…
Murtaugh: “You’re only”….can’t beat the clock, Riggs.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Can’t believe someone would downvote a good Lethal Weapon movie quote, but I suppose that’s the internet for you
January 29th, 2022 at 3:21 PM ^
No one did it better or longer. Thank you, Tom.
Sincerely,
Football

Weirdly, kind of sad.
Michigan should back the money truck up and have him involved with the football program in some capacity.
