No, but this is a Michigan sports blog. And thus, people disparaging the efforts of a Michigan athlete are nitwits. A reminder that Morgan Trent has done more for the program by playing (however fans judge that play) than they have by being nitwits is merited.

No, it's called "Don't be a dick."

Come on, it's not that hard to be polite about someone's talents, especially when the majority of those posting on this board haven't had the experience of going against other extremely talented atheletes and getting burned once in a while. Trent was not an awful player, he was decent, but everyone on here continually berates his abilities to no end, and for no reason.

He played at Michigan; the best thing Michigan fans can do is have a modicum of support for a Michigan player, rather than continually belittling the immense effort any player puts forth for the team the fans supposedly support.

Maybe I'm a presumptuous asshole, but I don't think its good form for fans to boo guys, particularly ones that are long gone. Can't we show some respect for the guys who wear the jerseys? looks worse than I intended it to. I realize Trent did his best, and for that I appreciate him and his time at UM.

The whole "shutdown corner" tag they were throwing around with himjust irked me. And the USC game was just a complete secondary demolotion that gives me nightmares still.

I happen to have ideal stats for a CB during my time at Michigan. Opposing receivers have a 0% catch rate, have scored 0 touchdowns, and I have never been penalized for PI. I feel I have done a lot for the University, and it is time I get my recognition.

Some of the best fishing I have experienced has been during the Brown Drake hatch. Just be sure to have a few Bat Flies tucked away in a corner of a box.
