Time to watch some football.
Thanksgiving feels closer than 3:30pm today. Soooo looong! Rest up, cheer hard. GO BLUE!
October 17th, 2015 at 11:58 AM ^
Never thought I'd have interest in a NW-Iowa game.
Go Wildcats..
October 17th, 2015 at 12:03 PM ^
I think it should be a good game. NU always fucks with Iowa. I was in town earlier today and some Hawkeye clown said that MSU was going to smash U-M. I laughed in his face, and then my wife separated us. Yeah, good start to the day.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:05 PM ^
with how horrid rest of schedule is, NW almost has to win this for Iowa to not be undefeated. I guess it would be funny to see a 12-0 Iowa lose 66-0 to whomever exits the East.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:05 PM ^
Who do we want to win? NW I suppose.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:07 PM ^
Yes we want NW 11-1 with only loss over UM and beating Stanford.
But whomever comes out of the west is going to get toasted in the Big10 C game.
October 17th, 2015 at 1:13 PM ^
NW is in the past, we've gotten the maximum benefit from the game. Now we want to beat an undefeated, highly ranked OSU and Iowa in the weeks just before selection for the playoffs.

October 17th, 2015 at 12:02 PM ^
I'm sure one of these games will turn out to be interesting, but man am I bored by this early slate.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:05 PM ^
I've got Ole Miss/Memphis on the big TV with FSU/Louisville as the "prev channel" and Iowa/Northwestern muted on the other TV.
Really interested in the Ole Miss/Memphis game and want to see how Iowa/Northwestern turns out.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:08 PM ^
I still think Ole Miss smashes Memphis.
And I am interested in the final score of Iowa-NW, but that is not the same thing as being interested in watching it happen.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:37 PM ^
I think you're right.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:04 PM ^
BTN just announced that Conklin and Price are playing, Hicks out...
Allen game time decision.
Makes it easier on Jake. I assume Allen will play if he >50% but Glasgow should destroy him if he is not 80%+.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:07 PM ^
Although the storyline afterwards will be...
"Hats off to Coach Harbaugh and Michigan on the win, I'm really proud of the way our guys battled today. We have a number of guys beat up...guys who we didn't even know if they'd play earlier in the week...really proud of how they fought and representive MSU football."

Already up...
I really wanted to see how Memphis would play in this game Memphis is playing well this year, I wanted to see if they could hang. If Ole Miss gets up 2 scores I'm going to another game.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:10 PM ^
Memphis payroll is only 1/40th of Ole Miss. Always follow the money.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:36 PM ^
I already switched it to Louisville/FSU on the big screen and Iowa/NW on the other TV.
I just like watching Ole Miss because of their offense and defense, it's interesting to see what money can buy these days. They've got some GREAT NFL talent - just not the best team.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:10 PM ^
I assume with Hicks out they move Cox back to corner and then they have a true freshman safety. UM must destroy that.
Otherwise they keep Cox at safety and put in a true freshman corner. I might do that route because corner has a simpler job in that defense esp in run.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:37 PM ^
That's all I want to know.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:10 PM ^
NW defense sloppy, early. Two dumb penalties.

That was so targetting by the NU DB
October 17th, 2015 at 12:12 PM ^
LOL that Baylor defense. I can't wait until TCU plays Baylor and they both put up over 100.
October 17th, 2015 at 1:17 PM ^
An O/U of 200?

They've been good for 20 years now. You'd think they would be beyond being the "away team" at their own stadium by now. Shame.

October 17th, 2015 at 12:20 PM ^
It's not like there are that many seats...Chicago's a fun sports town too. I don't see why more folks don't get behind NW. But all of those people who aren't even from the midwest immediately adopt the Cubs like it's a birthright.
If I was an out of towner...I'd definiely adopt NW as my "other" team when my team isn't playing. The tickets can't be that much...they're a pretty loveable team too. I dunno, maybe it's just me.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:13 PM ^
And it's called back on a penalty.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:13 PM ^
Looks like NW really does have a good defense.
Maybe our O is better than people think.

Horrible throw by Thorson, and then a derp return by King for Iowa - could've had six, perhaps.
October 17th, 2015 at 12:18 PM ^
Gets a Jeremy Clark like gift INT...he's going to be all B1G just off of stats even though Lewis and Likely are unreal.

October 17th, 2015 at 12:19 PM ^
The question here is how will Iowa end up punting?
October 17th, 2015 at 12:19 PM ^
Who is the color guy for IA-NW? He's got one boring monotone going on there.

I'm not saying he's a bad QB. He's not...this isn't one of those, because I don't think you're elite I think you're ass.
But he's not a first round NFL talent.
He's Brian Hoyer. He's Kirk Cousins. He's a solid backup NFL QB. Nothing to sneeze at...still can have a great career.
But people acting like he's a top 5 prospect are fools, IMO.
In a way...he's just a better version of Jake Rudock. But I'm not afraid of that. Just like I wasn't afraid of Hoyer or Cousins or Brady Quinn or Jimmy Clausen. All of those guys are solid...all can be beat...none are going to carry a team.
I'll take our defense over Cook 11 times out of 10. No homer.
