Down goes Sparty
I hate to see Louisville win either but screw Sparty and Izzo. They don't look that great to me. I think Michigan will outclass them by season's end.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:10 PM ^
Only watched overtime. Langford and Loyer both seemed pissed at Izzo after his patented scoldings
November 27th, 2018 at 10:13 PM ^
You gotta hit the rim, Josh....
No shit coach!
November 27th, 2018 at 10:33 PM ^
I'm not the greatest lip reader, but it looked like a big FU from Langford.
Earlier in the game Loyer commited a found and Izzo went totally ape shit putting his face on him and doing his Brian Kelly immitation. Langford had to break the two apart so they could get ready for the upcoming free throws. The guy is losing it before our eyes.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:39 PM ^
Losing it before our eyes, yes, however he has done that for years(nothing new).
November 28th, 2018 at 5:57 AM ^
Hey, nobody has taken more bullets than Izzo has. He has been crucified on a cross unfairly by sensational ESPN and Langford is not God, but pretty close.
November 28th, 2018 at 7:41 AM ^
Crucified unfairly? Or just real good at pretending he ever knows anything about his players?
Please.
November 28th, 2018 at 8:16 AM ^
I've never understood how some people can completely miss obvious sarcasm.
November 28th, 2018 at 8:50 AM ^
One would think its obvious sarcasm until you hear a msu fan use it as an argument at the bar, resultantly swallow your beer down the wrong tube out of shock from their utter seriousness and almost die.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:17 PM ^
I agree. I'm trying to think of an example of a player doing that to Beilein, and I'm drawing a blank. Then again, Beilein doesn't tend to scream like a four-year-old on the court, so...
November 27th, 2018 at 10:44 PM ^
I’m not laughing at anyone else losing for a while.
November 28th, 2018 at 1:29 AM ^
Good for you. Please log off and don't return before May.
November 27th, 2018 at 11:29 PM ^
Time to fire up the Izzo cannon...
November 28th, 2018 at 12:07 AM ^
Did he just go up Mariucci's butt?
November 28th, 2018 at 3:55 AM ^
Any video snippets of this? Suprised to hear that about Loyer. I love it, but it surprises me.
November 28th, 2018 at 5:05 AM ^
Loyer didn't do anything but listen. Let's be honest, he did just commit a stupid foul, and gave Louisville two free throws, after his team took the lead. Beilein would have been pissed also.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:10 PM ^
Eh.
I wish we didn’t do this here. Feels very RCMB like to make threads about them losing a game. So what.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:12 PM ^
Ah, hell. It’s fun to make fun of them every now and again. After all, not everyone can lose to a rebuilding Louisville team, with a brand new head coach, and a bunch of guys that played at the likes of Samford last year.
Plus, they have like posts at all times about Michigan. So one making fun of Izzo for underachieving yet again is warranted.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:49 PM ^
It's why they enjoy watching us lose. They view the basketball program as sacrosanct. So when they lose like this. Or when they get bested by Michigan. It's especially sweeter.
I'll take this little bit of schadenfreude to make my week better.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:14 PM ^
This is 1000x better than the board threads from the past two days.
Anyway, I was in the process of creating a Big Ten / ACC Challenge thread when I saw this had popped up, so it's hardly off-topic.
Speaking of the Challenge -- not looking good for the Big Ten (or the NET, for that matter); this basically wipes out PSU's earlier upset -- the ACC is up 3 games to 2 -- and the Big Ten is trailing in all three late games currently.
That said, Illinois isn't quite as awful as I'd thought... but also I think ND isn't that great either.
November 28th, 2018 at 2:14 AM ^
Comebacks for Wisconsin and Iowa mean the Big Ten is looking good again.
The PSU win offsets the MSU loss and it's pretty much as expected right now (unless you thought Minnesota would win their road game, but that was probably a coin flip).
November 27th, 2018 at 10:16 PM ^
Sorry but I need some kind of salve for some deep wounds of late. Sparty misery provides some small comfort.
November 27th, 2018 at 11:25 PM ^
Somewhat similar to an RMBC thread except we need about 6-7 more threads about them on our first page
November 27th, 2018 at 11:26 PM ^
I agree. (FYI I saw about a half dozen threads over there focused on M or specific players this weekend..almost as many as the Fire Coach X threads.)
i will happily accept these threads if forced to choose between them and the Snowflake Harbaugh/Brown threads this week.
While we are at it, I am disappointed with the gradual reappearance of the “Sharty” and “O$U” in our threads..bleed over from M Live?
That is all.

Can we stop this high and might stuff? We like watching them lose, we should like watching them lose, because they're our rival. And we beat them.
November 28th, 2018 at 7:42 AM ^
A Spartan loss is good, it just isn't as good as a Michigan win. It's just good in a different way.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:10 PM ^
Always a great night when Sparty loses in anything!
November 27th, 2018 at 10:10 PM ^
Sparty looked less than stellar against a very average Louisville.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:10 PM ^
Spartan tears taste like sugar
November 27th, 2018 at 10:11 PM ^
Can someone GIF Izzo screaming "You gotta hit the RIM!" at Langford?
Would have been good for our SOS if they'd won, but oh well... win-win.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:11 PM ^
I think Michigan already outclasses them.
Poor basketball IQ by MSU at the end of the game; Langford missed a free throw intentionally by throwing it off of the backboard (no rim), which is a violation. Then, Izzo's yelling at him, and he's looking all around like he can't figure out what's going on.
I wasn't cheering for UL, but it's hard to be unhappy when MSU looks bad.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:11 PM ^
Izzo is the Jim Harbaugh of college basketball while Beiline is the Urbz
November 27th, 2018 at 10:18 PM ^
Izzo has actually won a title
November 27th, 2018 at 10:20 PM ^
So Beilein is a scumbag, woman beating enabler???
November 27th, 2018 at 10:24 PM ^
Oh God. I think you...never mind.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:42 PM ^
I think you...
November 27th, 2018 at 10:56 PM ^
Fuck off. You’re a whiny little bitch on the grumpy old women’s board and even worse on here. Get a life ya fucking troll.
November 28th, 2018 at 7:59 AM ^
You’ve got a real gift for turning an expletive-laced misogynistic phrase.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:11 PM ^
Foster Loyer lol
November 27th, 2018 at 10:13 PM ^
I think he’s like 4’-3”!
November 27th, 2018 at 10:18 PM ^
Are we sure he's not Izzo's kid?
November 27th, 2018 at 10:35 PM ^
Yea, but he is a slow 4’3”.
you can’t teach slow.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:25 PM ^
I hate loyers
November 27th, 2018 at 10:54 PM ^
Figures that team would need a loyer
November 27th, 2018 at 10:32 PM ^
He's going to be the annoying little munchkin we love to hate in the coming years.
November 27th, 2018 at 11:15 PM ^
I predict he will make everyone forget about Aaron Craft. When he entered the game I thought he was the student manager/walk-on.
November 28th, 2018 at 1:36 AM ^
In the state championship last year he single handedly outscored my high school... I'm sure the rest of the board will come around sooner or later but I'm already there
November 28th, 2018 at 9:12 AM ^
He was fun to watch in the last two state championship games. He completely dominated both games against opponents stacked with DI and DII talent. I really hate that he went to MSU and I have to despise him now.
November 28th, 2018 at 7:47 AM ^
And Dakich couldn't stop licking his ass, that was annoying.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:12 PM ^
But were they defeated with dignity?
November 27th, 2018 at 10:15 PM ^
Eh... they didn't really look all that dignified to me.
Now, if they'd been down 30, and manly fought back to close to within 12, and then celebrated wildly when they hit a three at the buzzer to make it single digits -- that's dignity.
