thought their Brooklyn style pizza was fairly decent. I am a thin crust, NY style pizza kind of guy. Which is a tough as I now live in the Chicago area. I am not a fan of deep dish. Too much dough. To me it is like the equivalent of swallowing 5 burritos (or 1-2 El Gordos from Pancheros).

Check out Cafe Luigi. Cafe Luigi 2548 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614-1712. The service is terrible -- old Russian couple who never learned about service with a smile, but the Pizza is as close to NYC pizza you'll get in that neighborhood. It's actually pretty good.

Dominos actually is much better! I still prefer the mom and pop places over any chain though. But I would say Dominos is now better that Pizza Hut and Papa Johns.

In response to this story, I cancelled our dinner reservations. Yeah, the gf will be pissed, but tonight should be Domino's night. Glad to have you, Brandon.

I love Dominos pizza so much...it probably the single thing I miss the most after leaving America...(other than M football, of course.)

It depends on where you go, i have visited many towns in Mexico and each one seems to have a Dominos Pizza, not as many varieties though... Even a stand near to a tollbooth wich apperead to be a modified container with windows and a little yard in the front was selling Domino's, to me Dominos has always been better than pizza hut bc they sell coke and not pepsi....

This does not impress me. So people like the guy and care about him enough to organize this kind of surprise? Big deal. It's just people stuff, showing his ability to motivate and manage a team and earn their respect. It's not important. It would impress me if someone gave a powerpoint presentation with a series of line graphs, showing trended financial metrics during Brandon's tenure. Preferably, these graphs were made with MS Excel. That's impressive.

With my recently minted MBA I can easily recall all of the lectures on how to properly manage people and a business. Then I would go to my day job and be disillusioned by how things seem in the real world. Maybe the theories about getting the right people in place and treating them well do have some merit.

Not sure if you took my comment seriously, but if so you might need to adjust your sarcasm detector. Some dude made an equivalent comment a while ago, when a guy was impressed with Brandon in a face-to-face encounter. Madness!
