Soup was fired and then talks shit. Big deal, to me he sounds like a jealous, jilter lover.
This is the best kind of negative recruiting, because when a recruit says, coach Rod, Soup said X, Y, & Z about your program, RR just has to say, "Soup? I fired him!"

Why would it be Soup Campbell? Do you think Ferentz would let him do that? He seems to be too in the mold of a Lloyd Carr/Jim Tressell "never ever do anything controversial, ever" coach, and would clamp down on Soup negatively recruiting. That and we haven't really gone head to head with Iowa for any recruits.

Purdue was negative recruiting like mad crazy. I did also hear Soup was negative recruiting.
TomVH says that Dantonio and MSU really weren't doing much negative recruiting.

I would also like to point out that I am severely disappointed in this board for the sudden decrease in Lloyd Brady-related posts, but I might be mollified by an uptick in Cigar Guy posts.

and is/ was friends with RR. Dantonio can't take the risk that in state HS coaches would be put off that he's bad mouthing the other public school in the state. What about Danny Hope? I thought he was on the list from the Roundtree incident.
