Devin Bush, Sr. has been named Director of Football Recruiting at Ole Miss, where he joins former Michigan coach Chris Partridge.

Good we need to shake things up...many people on this board think there are no better people than the ones who've left and this is WRONG!  New DNA is what Michigan needs to get us over the hump in some areas.  JH does have a pretty good record of finding and hiring talent.  I'm very excited about the new faces coming in and most of you will be as well once you see their competencies  on display.

I never will understand people's infatuation or displeasure with coaches they have never really seen coach. Maybe Bush didn't really want to be a fulltime assistant. I'm sure if he did he had opportunities elsewhere, and if he didn't he probably got the job he really wanted. My guess is Lane Kiffin won't be there in 4 years. He's not a very good coach, and history has shown that.

I feel like ninety percent of his job at Ole Miss as recruiting director is going to be coordinating with boosters and deciding how much money to pay each recruit.

Question for the board: would you rather have Matty D or Bush Sr. as Director of Football Recruiting?

Parents seem to love Dudek, although I would've loved to keep him on the staff.

I think there has been prior confusion on what Matty D actually does or doesn't.  I do know that the Recruiting Dept. has taken some serious hits this off-season.  They seem to be behind (go-figure) from other programs when it comes to showing off the recruits and wowing them.

But with much of Harbaugh and his stagnant approach, I don't expect Matty D to go anywhere anytime soon.

If it were up to me, yesterday! And all honesty though, seeing what big time recruiting is like from this close, well, it’s a cesspool.

Funny story, he’s practiced his opening line, maintaining eye contact with a firm handshake to cement the good first impression, but when he met Harbaugh he said he got a bit starstruck and fumbled over the words.

Hopefully my kid is a Division II/III athlete like his old man and never has to go through it!

Ole Miss is going to be killing it on the recruiting trail very soon. They will probably have top 5 classes sooner rather than later. Kiffin said himself winning in college football is 90% dependent on the talent of the roster. This part he gets.

I do fully expect Ole Miss to crash spectacularly in a few seasons though.
