Describe your perfect TV setup to watch games (also, YouTubeTV may show multiple games at once)

Another season of fat man chess is upon us. If you're like me, you like to watch a lot of games simultaneously. Unfortunately, every year I'm confounded as technology far outpaces my ability to keep up with it. So I thought I'd throw out into the MGoUniverse the following:

1. What is your preferred TV to watch games on? That is, 4K? 8K? QLED? OLED? Partial to any manufacturer?

2. What service do you prefer to watch games? FuboTV? Hulu? YouTubeTV?

This is a timely question. According to Protocol Magazine, YouTubeTV may (*may*) soon (whatever that means) provide something called "Mosaic" mode, which basically lets you watch multiple games at once on one TV screen. I think this would be great because I've always used multiple TVs that are awkwardly crammed together in a corner of the room. I'd prefer to have one big TV cubed into four games. The article seems to suggest that it may only be available on Samsung or LG TVs. It appears the only thing that is currently comparable is FuboTV, which has "MultiView", but that is only if you have an "Apple TV" box between your TV and your internet connection, for some reason. That said, Tom's Guide says that YTTV's "Mosaic" may not roll out for a couple of months, which would make it worthless for this season. No word from YTTV yet to clear things up.

There are a lot of quirks to the various streaming services. In my opinion, the best description of each service is RealCordCutters.blogspot.com.

TL; DR: If you want to simultaneously watch multiple games on one TV screen, you may be stuck with FuboTV (which requires an Apple TV dohickey), unless YouTubeTV manages to get their new "Mosaic" thingie out lickety-split.

(FWIW, NFL is stuck in the stone ages. Seems impossible to just pay the NFL money and get all the games on TV. Instead, I'm locked out of Lions games because the national networks refuse to acknowledge that the Lions are totally the best, and so they don't show almost any Lions games anywhere beyond Michigan)

When I had PSVue they had mosaic mode. You could watch 3 games at once. Move from game to game w/o using the guide. It kinda pissed me off when they discontinued live streaming.

Bought a Samsung S95B Q-OLED TV. Its in a bright living room and have had no issues with it. Just an amazing TV paired with a Samsung 3.1.2 soundbar. Came to the conclusion that its either Fubo or YouTube TV if I want 4K. Decided I'll go with YTTV and will sign up on September 11 so I can cancel on Jan.10, the day after the CFP Final. All the NFL playoff games will be OTA and I'm lucky enough to live in a test market for NextGen TV (Orlando) so I'll watch those that way.

I have a media PC (with many many terabytes of storage - I have recordings of every Michigan football game since HD started) connected to a 75" Sony HDR. I can do 4 concurrent game viewing today just by using different browser windows.

I just don't see the point for 4k or 8k programming as 1080P broadcasts today are so compressed that they look terrible. Why add even more bandwidth bottlenecks? I would much prefer to have high quality 1080P stream with HDR. People will notice HDR more than going from 1080P to 4k in many cases.

I had hulu plus the last 5 or so years and it was fine, long load times switching between games but easy to navigate. Trying YouTube tv this year since hulu was getting expensive and dropping channels. Not picky about what tv, usually my “big” screen downstairs or the 40” tv in my garage next to the beer fridge. Most weekends I’ll have a different game on each of the 3 TVs throughout the house to keep an eye on things, or if the wife is gone I’ll move all the TVs and Apple TV’s to one room.

YoutubeTV on LG 55" E8 OLED through Nvidia Shield. Also have a Samsung soundbar connected. Picture and audio quality are pretty limited with streaming, but HDR + Atmos through Plex is phenomenal.

I did the 4K intro w/ YTTV last season. I'd probably do it again if they offered it at the $10 intro price again. Not worth $20. Not enough broadcasts are in "4k". The FOX 4k broadcast are definitely better quality.

Prefer huge TV. Only time I bring out multiple TVs is usually during the first two weeks of March Madness.

Currently have Hulu Live TV, but would be interested in YTTV if there was a mosaic mode that you mention.

Projected off the wall in the basement, it's outstanding.  YouTube.tv. Really hoping that four games at once comes to fruition.  I'm able to do that through the ESPN app on Apple TV.  If there are four good games going, nothing better.  Projected off the wall, it's like four 70" tvs next to each other.

Normally just chilling in my living room on my recliner. Old 55" TV from 2015 (Treat myself gift a week before Harbaugh's first game). But this year I upgraded to a 65" 4K in the basement. I will likely be down there a lot this Fall.

Samsung house here and we have one 65 inch TV  in the family room and one 65 inch TV  in the 3 seasons room and there is a kitchen in between.  I will flip back and fourth between games on the main TV but I mainly love walking from room to room.   I just like to be able to move around…
