He can't take official visits until Fall 2013. I would rather he figure this out now than decommit 12 months from now. I wouldn't worry about this right now as there is still a long way to go to 2014. At least Hoke has had a good track record of holding on to recruits.

Do you have a more specific source?

do you need any more source than that?

But I don't trust anything from 247Sports anymore, especially anything from the Midwest. Their reporters, Steve Wiltfong and Jason Sapp in particular, seem to try to create headlines more than report news.
Steve Wiltfong is their Midwest reporter (but also a known Notre Dame fan and reporter in previous work) who has been responsible for multiple previous erroneous reports about Michigan commits wavering and taking other visits (most recently this week with Henry Poggi & Alabama). Jason Sapp was the ND reporter who texted Ty Isaac about competitor schools depth charts and other RB targets to try to convince Isaac to choose ND and not USC or Michigan.
And seeing the 2014 Signing Day is over a year away, I am not even going to worry about this at all right now. People are going to try to steal early commits. It's part of the game. Based on Michigan's track record under Hoke though, I wouldn't sweat it.

You may be right about Wiltfong and Sapp, but this time TVH confirmed the news.

per the Policy. Ward has talked to the coaches, and they have no problem with him taking other visits as long as he contacts them first and decommits. The Michigan coaches will still recruit him and consider him a target, but he will no longer have a spot reserved in the class.

Those who ignore Abraham Lincoln's advice do so at their own peril.

Irrespective of whether it's true or not, I'm really not worried about a 2014 committ taking visits.

Will Hoke revoke his offer?

1 - Oh hell yes
2 - Oh hell no
3 - None of us know, we weren't invited to listen in on any of the discussions, and Hoke has never directly spelled out exactly what the policy is, or any possible exceptions, or the implications and ramifications of the policy having a boo-boo.
Edit - 4 - What Steve Everitt said.

He visited Florida and got an offer. He said that he's still committed to Michigan. He was open with the coaches about visiting so his offer is still valid.

I ALWAYS KNEW DENZEL WARD WOULDNT END UP AT MICHIGAN AND THIS GOES TO SHOW THAT HOKES VISIT POLICY IS OLD FASHIONED AND OUT DATED. FIRE HOKE AND COMPANY BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE AND THEY RUIN THE SCHOOL

Yeah I don't know what you're aiming for with your comments, but you're failing at it.

I think I was misunderstood. I'm saying that Michigan coaches evaluate talent very well. There have been players we have offered that people disagree with but they end up moving up in the player rankings. They find good talent and dont just look at the star rating.

WR Sebastian Larue RT @SebastianLarue1 Spoke with Michigan coach today may set up a visit there.

Is RDT going by Wilma now? As far as Ward taking visits, he's being up front with the coaches and I think it holds alot of weight with them.

Is it weird that I am happy that he's taking visits? Let him get the 'drama' out of the way now, and then next Fall, when the coaching staff has a better idea of the positional needs, it won't be an issue...He is soooo far from signing day, and I still think he ends up at UMich anyway...

His signing day is more than a full calendar year away.
