Per UM Student Directory, Frank Clark's middle name is in fact Dominick so it's most likely the same person

Edit: My bad, i don't go to the home page, i just link to mgoblog.com/mgoboard. Delete if necesary

Agreed.  It's an elaborate ruse, and it truly demonstrates Hoke's uncanny foresight.  Hoke knew Penn State would suffer today's sanctions long ago, so he dispatched his right hand man, Frank Clark, to abscond with another student's property way back in June.  Realizing just in time that Clark's suspension may not be enough, Hoke instructed his starting running back to initiate a drunken encounter with police while at the wheel of his car--a brilliant tactical maneuver, if ever there was one.  Both players performed perfectly, and we should all expect they'll be given numerous accolades at this year's football banquet.

The best part is we don't have a backup WDE to play against Alabamas "best in the nation" offensive line now, unless a TE converts in a few short weeks, or true freshman Strobel burns his redshirt, or we get a transfer.

First of all, you're jumping the gun.  And goodbye Glenville?  Did we say goodbye Cass Tech after BooBoo?  If this is ends up being the end for Clark, that doesn't really say anything about Glenville.  And I doubt Ginn would have a problem with Hoke punishing Clark if this is all legit.

Obviously Hokes character building program hasn't lived up to expectations.
Time to accept the fact that Michigan isn't immune from legal troubles and we can't make fun of other schools that have player run-ins with the law.

But, if Frank Clark is convicted of Home Invasion, he's gone. There is, and should be ZERO tolerance for that kind of offense. I'd say pursuing Anthony Zettle might be a great option indeed.

What the fuck are we doing? I mean seriously. We are a month away from the season and people are being complete idiots.

We need these seniors to step up and take control. This isn't Denard's fault, not at all, but this is where he needs to call a team meeting and stop being everyone's friend. He needs to like a fucking fire under everyone and demand that everyone stay out of trouble.

This selfishness on this team right now is amazing.

I think Olaniyan might be a better fit for this new need because he's a junior WDE with game experience, whereas Zettel is a rs freshman SDE who could grow into a 3 tech a-la Jibreel Black. Honestly, I think we need both, as both could potentially start in 2013 on our thin depth chart...

I see what you mean here, but the likelihood that Clark is gone is almost a foregone conclusion. Anthony Zettle was born to play WDE and considering that the two are the same age, and Zettle's motor, it might not be such a bad swap. I remember watching Zettle's tape as most here probably do too. I seriously doubt that moving (if indeed he does don the maize and blue) Zettle to a 3 tech is such a smart idea. Although not a terribly bad idea, he's still young and could fit quite nicely as a backup to (now) Beyer. I'm still pissed that Clark had to engage in such reprehensible behavior but what's done is done. Zettle seems like the best replacement option.

I almost think its likely Zettel comes to Michigan, honestly. After seeing how the PSU newspapers and his local hometown news rags talk about it. I would've thought he'd stay before, but not now... If he and CJ make the move then it'll likely be both of them, and Black and Pipkins starting in '13. Not as scary a proposition as my past depth charts were for next year. I have full confidence in our young prospects stepping up, but having no choice but to throw them in there freaks me out, lol.

And if Frank Clark gets dismissed, it wouldn't hurt our scholarship allotment either. Essentially we'd be swapping a one year veteran with a redshirt. But seriously, it couldn't look any better. I say Zettel should be our #1 option right now. Plus, he's ative MI and didn't turn down Hoke and Co. He turned down RR. I can't seriously take offense to that.

Alright I called Fitz an idiot for his actions since that is only thing that can explain his actions but Clark is a criminal if this turns out to be true. He showed such great promise. Why is knowing right from wrong so hard?

There has to be more to this story. It was stupid to do but ill bet he wasn't in need of a computer. And ill bet she really didn't want him to see what's on it to go as far as calling the cops. Speculation, yes. But there is no logical explanation for taking a computer like this and being turned in. If it was just a theft and they didn't know each other only 1% of stolen lap tops are found.

People can downvote all they want, but the fact is that right now team discipline is a major problem, and the man responsible for the team is Brady Hoke.

The arrests in the last 15 months under Hoke are unprecedented from my memory of Michigan Football, even if some of the arrests were ticky tack infractions, still, we have 8 of them.  There are other B1G teams who also have young and stupid kids who have zero arrests in that time frame.

Its time to drop the hammer. Long term we need a set precedence much like the non visit policy after commitment. Found guilty of any class B misdemeanor and you are gone, no exceptions.

I don't understand how my imput is considered "Flaimbait" either. Nothing I said was soliciting any kind of special attention. I'm simply stating an opinion. Way to alienate your bloggers. I don't post here much but I've been reading for years. I don't "Tweet" either so coming here gives me some good insight. It's insulting to have my posts relegated to "Flaimbait" when nothing about them is offensive or immaterial.

Why is some idiot just downvoting everything?  I asked a perfectly legitimate question.  Does anyone know when his suspension started?

Welcome to the club man.  I posted that our ND, MSU, and Nebraska games would be interesting ones this year that would probably come down to whoever wins in the trenches and was downvoted and called a troll, lol.

Actually, a couple months ago I was telling someone how to buy UM game tickets through the school and was downvoted as a troll!  Figure THAT one out!

The theft occurred June 14th, they allegedly caught and arrested Clark with the computer on the 17th I think.  I'm sure he was suspended as soon as coach found out which would have been the 18th or within a couple days after.
