Danielson Hangs On
I just get the biggest kick out of Danielson hang on to his spread meme.
So Danielson is downright giddy as Alabama proves the "spread is dead" early on as he takes subtle jab after jab that he hasn't been able to use all year long. He isn't stupid enough to say the spread is dead, but he continues his platform
"This is why this offense will never work in the NFL"
" A lot of people were wondering what would happen when Saban who was coaching in the NFL 5 years ago would come up against Malzhan who was a high school coach 5 years ago"
"You need to attack these spread qb's and not allow him to stand back there making reads. I've been saying this all year." ( This was after a nice blitz by Bama so Gary could claim he and Saban were the only ones to figure out this gimmicl offense.
So this is all done after Bama has 2 weeks to get ready with one of the best defensive minds in the game, at home, in a rivalry game......all the while Bama is shredding Auburn using mostly......a spread/pistol attack.
Give it up Gary. You are a pretty good announcer. Don't embarrass yourself just because you were a statue that couldn't move.....oops Auburn just scored again....

Bias for Alabama in this game is obvious. He can't even help himself.

games. Then watch some film of Bob playing. Then go look in the mirror.

after all he was a QB for the Detroit Lions.

And the Browns...

I hate cheering for teams that cheat, somebody needs to thunk TCU/BSU in bowl games so they stop threatening to ruin the NC game.

Now he says he admires Auburn... oh wait they just scored again. LMBO

danielson is getting worse as this game goes on. I think he loves cam more than tebow.

Danielson is a Rush Limbaugh loving, carpetbagging, POS IMHO.

Auburn's spread offense is able to score quickly and overcome a quick deficit. Alabama's quarterback gets injured just outside the pocket.

This statement might make it possible for me to wash all those horrible Lions moments from my childhood. Thank you for this blessing.

Who cares what Gary Danielson thinks today...
November 26th, 2010 at 7:01 PM ^
But your point is well taken...who the hell cares right now about Gary "spread is dead" Danielson? it's nothing new that he hasn't said before.
BEAT THE BUCKEYES DAMNIT!!!

exactly...pay him no mind

I disagree the Danielson's notion that the spread is dead. However, I love how he has no problem telling anyone who will listen that the TCUs and Boises of the world have no business playing in a National Championship game after playing those garbage schedules.

Auburn's schedule this season isn't exactly what one would classify as a "tough" schedule. Only 4 away games, and out of those, 3 were against bottom tier SEC teams. I guess that "gutting" out wins vs. a poor ACC team and two bottom tier SEC teams beats stomping the crap outta everyone, as long as you play in the SEC.

Danielson's the best TV analyst in college football. And the SEC top to bottom is the best conference in college football.
I can hold these opinions and love Michigan at the same time. It's so liberating.

The entire game I got the feeling that even with his luke-warm praise about Alabama and their start, that he was rooting for Auburn and Newton to come back and win it so that he could continue to tout SEC dominance.
He also made a comment about Jones being the best WR in the country(does he even know what Blackmon is doing at OkSt.?) He later backtracked and stated he was one of the best.

First, Danielson breaks up with Tebow to bang Can Newton. Today, Danielson is having a threesome with Saban and McElroy. This guy is such a slut.
November 26th, 2010 at 8:49 PM ^
he gets out of their bed to go over to Cam's and sucks him off for nearly the entire second half. That right there ought to win Newton the Heisman. Who else, other than Tebow, has had to orchestrate a comeback over such a strong team with Danielson hanging on for dear life between his legs?

fuckin' douchebag. Let me see, Oregon and Auburn are going to the NC game and they run the spread. Great analysis Gary...

The one on the left.

Wearing an ass hat. Perfection.

Gary Danielson makes me embarrassed to be a Dearborn Divine Child alumnus.

Weird. So the team with the pro-style offense was the one with the QB knocked out of the game? I thought only spread QBs were injured.
November 27th, 2010 at 10:50 AM ^
Was when he kept telling Auburn to punt on 4th down, just as they went down the field for their winning TD. "You've gotta go for field position."
Biggest douche on college football TV.
