Anybody else feeling empty inside today lol? I’m half kidding but my emotions have been so high since the end of the psu game I kind of don’t know what to do with that today.
strange feeling. I feel like I’ve given all of my soul to UM football the past 3-4 weeks especially lol.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:18 AM ^
And, for once, Michigan football didn't take that soul and tear it to shreds. It only further increased and strengthened it!
December 11th, 2021 at 9:49 AM ^
It is a strange feeling, this December euphoria. I'm so used to the annual post OSU loss-pre bowl loss slough of despond.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:21 AM ^
Very strange feeling for me, too. Feels good to have a little pep in my step.
Plus, it's 70º here in Atlanta. Normally it's in the low 50's and rainy this time of year. Great day to head out to the local Ace Hardware for it's reopening at a new location. They are providing free grilled food. ...hashtag things to do without Michigan football
December 11th, 2021 at 9:48 AM ^
Not me. I love knowing that there is more directly ahead. This is just a pause, the calm before the storm.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:31 AM ^
Usually I am thinking "What could have been" of the season having disappointment, yet again, run rampant through me. . But now I am, as I am sure others are, thinking what it will be with a level of excitement unknown to mankind! How quickly fortunes of a team can change. Let's hope it continues as this team SHOCKS THE 'MOTHER EFFING WORLD by winning it all with Saban asking Harbaugh, in bewilderment, "What's your deal?" after Michigan DESTROYS Alabama on Jan 10th.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:23 AM ^
I believe Hutch and the other Heisman finalists will be on Gameday at some point, so there is at least some reason to watch Gameday.

CJ= Continuous Justification
He and his relentless rationalization is the gift that keeps on giving.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:59 AM ^
That loss to Michigan is going to live rent free in this kids head for an entire year.
He can make all the excuses he wants. I love it.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:59 AM ^
He'd have been better off to just say "I don't have one."
December 11th, 2021 at 10:11 AM ^
More accurate anyway.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:59 AM ^
Well he is certainly entitled to his own opinion...
December 11th, 2021 at 10:01 AM ^
Until that moment, he never knew holding could be called against Ohio State.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:20 AM ^
If its and buts were candy and nuts, CJ would be having a merry Christmas right now.
Have to imagine he’s still pretty shell-shocked over a few things. 1) Aidan Hutchinson honing in and burying him into the ground, and 2) He wasn’t aware that OSU could possibly be called for holding.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:22 AM ^
At least he doesn’t believe in excuses….
Seriously, this is particularly stupid. They got a touchdown on that drive anyway. All the holding did was cost them about a minute of game clock.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:32 AM ^
32 seconds, to be precise.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:24 AM ^
Hutch had a Heisman moment illegitimately called back in a nationally recognized screw job. Luckily he has five or six other Heisman moments to fall back on.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:27 AM ^
Maybe don’t hold and the TD counts, because, you know, that’s how it works.
December 11th, 2021 at 12:26 PM ^
Maybe don't hold and take the sack...
FIFY
December 11th, 2021 at 10:31 AM ^
That’s priceless. The what if heisman moment for the guy who didn’t win
December 11th, 2021 at 10:43 AM ^
Can't wait for him to be asked, "And when did you know you lost the Heisman race?"
December 11th, 2021 at 11:02 AM ^
"Some people use excuses to not accept responsiblity, others use excuses as a way to justify."
December 11th, 2021 at 11:16 AM ^
I guess "threw an okay pass my all-world WRs made a big play on" skipped his mind.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:30 AM ^
Visited the stadium over the summer when I went to an amusement park at the adjacent mall that was attached with walkways to the stadium. Seemed like a great facility with all the trimmings.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:41 AM ^
I’ve been to a few games there, sat up top, sat two rows from the field… it felt bland to me, no personality and just uninspiring. The old Giants Stadium was anything but any of those but I don’t think that’s unique to this building compared to the old.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:33 AM ^
No Michigan football today…wife is making me clean the basement ?
December 11th, 2021 at 9:43 AM ^
Is that some sort of euphemism?
December 11th, 2021 at 9:46 AM ^
No, but babe cave might be.
December 11th, 2021 at 11:39 AM ^
Ah, yes… you saw through my not-so-clever ruse. You must be a very cunning linguist.

December 11th, 2021 at 9:38 AM ^
Hutch hanging with Stroud today could be awkward:
Stroud: “Hey good game Hutch, next year hopefully we aren’t sick”
Hutch: “Whatever man, Heisman candidates aren’t supposed to make excuses”
December 11th, 2021 at 9:46 AM ^
Those three QBs looked a little nervous standing next to Aidan.

There is no more over-hyped game than Army-Navy. Two bad teams running a miserable offensive scheme.
I said what I said

You are watching for the wrong reasons.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:22 AM ^
User name checks out?
The quality of football will exceed what some B1G programs put on the field every year, and the lives of service these young men are committed to make it a game worthy of attention.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:28 AM ^
That’s not even remotely the point of why people watch, pal. As the other responder to this post just said, if that’s your mindset and what you’re looking for in this game, then you’re watching for the wrong reasons, and that’s on you.
I went to the game in Baltimore a few years ago. Was one of the coolest and greatest college football environments I’ve ever seen. All the pageantry and tradition that goes into the game is one of the last bastions of the game in its purest form. And it’s beautiful. None of these guys are playing for a pro contract. They're playing for each other and a love of the game.
Doesn’t matter that these teams aren’t equipped to win a national title in today’s game. If you can’t get excited to watch that, then don’t bother watching.
December 11th, 2021 at 11:16 AM ^
Seriously triggered people here. God forbid someone posts something you disagree with on an message board. Lighten up Francis.

Yeah, brought out the snowflakes. Notice no one actually refutes the truth of my statement.
I am watching to see if I win my prop bet about what quarter the President falls asleep.
December 11th, 2021 at 4:09 PM ^
You are right that the actual football game isn’t very good in terms of the offense and defense doing things you won’t have seen before. BUT, when you learn the stories behind the players, what they are going to do for the country after they graduate, and the past HEROS that have played in this game, that is what the game is about.
You watching to support a prior belief that the President will fall asleep isn’t the point of this and there are other places that will support or rip your beliefs other then here. That comment was more snowflake then anything else that was said, and I didn’t even vote for Biden.

Manny Diaz, former YT Miami coach, to Penn St as DC. He’s a great recruiter, who was probably in a little over his head as HC at Miami. Good hire for PSU, and the East gets more loaded.
When is the B1G gonna realign?
December 11th, 2021 at 10:32 AM ^
Solid hire but their defense was already a strength. As was their recruiting, for some reason. Until they figure out the finer points of coaching up their talent they will continue to disappoint.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:40 AM ^
Yep. They need to hire a keeper of timeouts. An anti-fg-icer.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:51 AM ^
Not sure what you mean by "development," but Penn State seems to develop players and produce NFL talent at a commensurate rate with their recruiting. According to this 2020 article, PSU produced the 11th most draft picks of any school in the last 5 years. They typically recruit in the 10-15 range. Seems to develop on average with their peers. I know from listening to PSU podcasts that they are going through a dry spell of CB and O-Line draft picks. They need to develop those positions better, but in general they are developing in line with expectations.
