Harbaugh just needs to sit on Gay's couch, and then accidentally forget his wallet there.  And then accidentally drop his backup money clip in the kitchen.  And then accidentally have money stuck to his hands when he shakes the hands of everyone in his family.  And then accidentally leave his emergency money roll on the bathroom counter when he mistakenly left it there after washing his sticky hands.

He should really stop being so forgetful. And wash his hands before meeting new people. Totally honest mistakes, NCAA.

At a world class university with many inroads into the NFL would be enough payment for players who are more interested in their future than being able to buy a CD player once they get on campus for an unproven head coach. Who could realistically be old news in 3 years.

Ok getting serious then. Buying one of the latest electronic devices that will be obsolete by the time you get it operating in your dorm. For those of you that did not get the sarcasm in my voice when I said a CD player. I should have said Walkman, any household that is without a Walkman is one that is without a junk drawer.

That means there is some chance and you simply have to go. There have been reports that his mom and other family favor Michigan. The visits to campus were enough to sell them on the school. If Gay's concern is football, particularly the depth chart, as Sam Webb and others have said, who better to address it? This could be a very big visit, not a perfunctory long shot.

This guy we need! Willie could flourish up here in AA...this guy is a must get. Kinda reminds me of Solomon, why does Solomon wanna go to Alabama and sit 1-2 years. If Hand can't crack the Bama lineup until his junior year there is no way Solomon is gonna play that much or any early on.

Harbaugh has to close the deal on these two

This always bugs me...we always want our athletes to "challenge themselves and not be afraid of competition" yet we will disparage a kid who wants to go to Bama and compete against the best day in and day out. I want Solomon here as well but it is hard to pull a kid from the south especially when arguably the best program in the country is after him closer to his backyard.

No we would choose Michigan because we are fans of Michigan! If you want to make the education argument that would be a better one. However, your argument was about "sitting 1-2 years" meaning the competition is too tough there to breakthrough. That may motivate him to prove doubters wrong or he feels that "iron sharpens iron" and he too may benefit from the increased competition. Either way it's 2 good programs Solomon has to choose between.

Of course we're always right and the bad guys are always wrong.

This makes sense to me in the same way that it makes no sense to me when I'm listening to Brandy or Dierdorf on the radio and they praise the other team's play. 'Wow Dan what a fine pass. That young QB really has a great arm on him...'. I don't want to hear that. I want to hear 'Wow Dan. Did you see how supernaturally straight that pass went? The QB obviously was sacrificing baby puppies to Satan last night for that play to work. What a scumbag'.

choice and when they go elsewhere I just wish them luck. You mention competition and I think it's great for these kids to compete. I just don't understand why every kid wants to go there. You have a 3 deep of nothing but 5* and high 4* a lot of kids are going to sit who could be playing elsewhere.

I just with these kids would actually look at depth charts and understand they are not always the greatest player to come along and realize there is a good chance I go there and just sit on the bench and if I don't make it in a couple of years could be run off by the coach. Just be informed and realistic is what I think needs to be conveyed to these kids. Maybe do something different and go to a school where you could play early and make a huge difference, rather then being just another number.

That can apply here as well too! How many times have you come on here and seen when a kid commits to a program that's a step below us "Welp! I guess he was afraid of all the talent and competition here". These kids make decisions on what they feel is best. Whether it be campus atmosphere, depth chart, prestige, or education. Herbert was getting it from a small minority yesterday because some felt he knew he was the worst OL recruit in the class and wanted to go somewhere else to get more shine. Yet less than 24 hours later we are using the exact reverse argument for Solomon and Bama.

My favorite is when a player commits to rival school and someone says he can get fucked or whatever and the poster gets blasted cause 'he's just a kid'. Then in another thread, you will see a comment saying an entire team of these kids can eat it or 'to hell with Notre Dame' and it gets upvoted. Seriously, I'm not going to wish some kid well that went to OSU or Alabama just because we made his short list. I will actively root against him and his team for the duration or his career and it won't matter one bit cause I'm just a guy watching TV hundreds of miles away.

Bama is a pipeline to the NFL, plain and simple. Just look at the stats for drafted players since Saban has been there -- even for players who just start for a year or two. Once we become an equivalent pipeline, which will start to happen this year, the top recruits will want to come here as well.

Not that the Viper can't be a good role but there is an argument to be made that playing the Viper could wind up costing Jabrill millions this year.  Since now teams have to project how he will be as a safety as oppposed to seeing him play there he might drop from potential top 5 pick to mid first round.

Counter: There are hybrid space players in the NFL, too, and Peppers has proven to teams he can do a lot of things for them schematically. Also safeties rarely go top-5 or top-10 because of how the NFL values positions. I'm sure there are people in NFL front offices who are on different sides of that argument but I doubt anyone was taking him top 5 as a strong safety if that was all he played here.

Didn't he rotate back into safety and nickel on a decent chunk of plays this year? I mean, I get that the NFL doesn't have as much film on him at safety as they would if he played there every down the last few years, but they project much more with much less on some players, especially those playing D3 competition.
