Chuck Filiaga 6'6" 345, can he play NG?
As it looks like Trevor Keegan, and not Chuck Filiaga, will be starting at LG, could Chuck Filiaga be tried at NG? Couldn't hurt to give it a try, could it?
Could he shed blockers? Could he stuff an RB on 3rd and short or at the goal line? Could he bat down a pass? Could he flush a QB?
At the very least, could he not get pushed and be a space eater? And could he draw double teams?
He certainly has the size!
No. Incase of injury need the next man up ready at every OL position. Seems like the grad transfer we just picked up is the plugger type of NT Filiaga would potentially play anyways.
Could Ezekiel Creatures find something better to do on a Sunday evening?
Besides your mother?
You might be sexy Julian but you can't teach me anything about the Liquor
Sean?
Sean Connery?
Is that you?
Geez, it is "Connery, Sean Connery!"
Go practice falling down I'll be there in a minute.

Hopefully the grad transfer Whittley never gets injured. If he did, Filiaga might be needed if he could play NG? There's more depth at O Line than D Line.
I really think Chuck Filiaga should be tried at NG--if he wants to that is.
What if we both wrote Jim Harbaugh a letter, so he knows this? I'll let you be the one to seal the envelope with a kiss.
or better, can he help displace a 350lb nose guard? thats been wanting too
Seems like, since that's been his primary focus for his high school and college careers, that he should continue trying to make strides here instead of switching position groups on a whim and hoping a light goes on
Why do people always do this? Hey, this OL is huge, naturally he would be an amazing DL.
To several geniuses on this board, the answer to all our woes is a bunch of fat guys on defense. They have to weigh at least three bills. Line them up sideline-to-sideline and all our problems will be solved.
Fat is the new Phat. Phatty is how you use it bluebird.
It is fun to joke about paunches, but they are needed in certain leveraged scenarios. These guys are athletes first. Not just any 300+ person fills the hole in the same way. Size matters but is not the only thing once the game is on.
I kid... I know you are too... but not to Chuck's face we don't. He's got a point and few pounds on me there.
ECreatures - bow down to the one you serve.
How many threads per day do you make?
I’m of the opinion that Ezekiels recently learned how to post photos and doesn’t want to forget how.
He's an OSU troll. What do you expect?
His previous name was SkyPanther
Hey you know Chuck Filiaga?
Yeah, the OG that everyone says plays too high?
Yeah, that guy. We should try him at NG!
Brilliant! Leverage isn't everything at that position...
I'm convinced people who post this shit are deepfake RCMB trolls who post normal stuff for years just to make one incredibly stupid post and waste all our time
If I had a long game like that it would have been me winning the PGA today.
maybe, but I don't imagine your short game is as good as Phil's.... that short-sided bunker dunk was a stroke of genius
This is probably not the case, but I'm going to imagine it is.
if you've ever seen the shit they post on RCMB, you'd realize it's a lot more realistic than it seems lol
Might be a little tall but it would hurt to at least consider
it would hurt to at least consider
I presume this is a typo in the overall context of your post, but the typo makes it spot-on
When I wonder if a guy can play nose guard, I ask if he looks like former Lion NG Jerry Ball. If the answer is no, move on.
Thanks for posting this. I've heard that Harbaugh frequently looks to the posters on MGoBlog for suggestions on position changes.
JJ McCarthy is 6'3'' 195 pounds. Perfect size for a cornerback. Why don't we switch JJ to defense, too? Our QB depth is fine with Bowman and Cade.
Holy jumpin’ I didn’t realize he was still on the team. I saw him at my local DQ a block from the house 4-5 years ago and it is absolutely blowing my mind that he is still in Ann Arbor
Yeah, I don't like this take. It takes time to learn a new position and he's out of time. At this point he's not a position switch project. He either wins a starting job or he adds depth at his position group.
He's gotten big, looks like one of those big WI lineman. I wish he could play at one of the guard positions to just bulldoze an opposing D line.
Is this a ghost account for my high school performing arts-focused daughter? That would go a long way to explaining much of the lack of understanding of basic football concepts demonstrated by this poster time and again.
Filiaga has been at O-line throughout his time at UM, but you think he should be moved to play D-line in his final year? Just because he's big?? Seriously???
