Charles Woodson Wine Tasting
Since your wife liked it so much also, it sounds like she is a keeper. Happy Anniversary.

me two bottles of the Sauvignion Blanc for our anniversary a couple years ago. I absolutely loved it. It was worth the ridiculous cost of shipping.
By any chance did it taste like Heisman or Peyton Manning's tears?
....then which anniversary would be a Tom Brady Anniversary???

I think auto parts/liquor stores are an untapped retail opportunity.
much like my idea for in-flight colonoscopies (gives "redeyes" a new meaning)
What could go wrong?
I know a guy that would fund that.
He once sold branded steaks out of an electronics store.
Is Charles really into wine and wine tasting or is he a representative/owner of a major wine distributor? Gimme' the cliffs notes bloggers....

I've read about the 24 Cab Sav and heard it is excellent, but I've never tried it myself. Does it stand up to the Nickel & Nickel/Darioush/Lewis Cellars Cabs in that price range?
I am a trained (but non-practicing) sommelier. Charles has wine professionals who manage the vineyards, decide when to harvest, etc. but he knows a lot and is very involved. The wines are good stuff; not gimmicks.

And he seems excited about it as well. Bringing him around for major recruiting weekends seems like it would be a good idea
Awesome.
FWIW, GoBlueNorth...I went to high school with your wife ;-)
I'm not paying that much unless Charles stomped the grapes himself.
/cheap
//thinks nothing of spending that much and more on good champagne
It's not being cheap... one can load up on 4 - 5 bottles of just as good stuff for the same price.
Unless this goes to charity... and if it goes to charity, then I can take a deduction... taking a deduction for drinking alcohol? Hmmmm...
"Just as good" is in the eye of the beholder. I can't imagine a $20-$25 bottle of Napa Cab being close to 24 (I'm assuming) or some of the other bottles in that price range.
My dad lives north of NAPA. I am definitely planning on visiting Charles' vineyard the next time I am out west.
"How about, we just wine. And dine."

He was in Milwaukee two weeks ago, at Vino 100. The Vino 100 that's in the same building as my condo. I didn't go due to a work conflict. Life is cruel.
