ESPN is doing a lot of backpedaling. Rece Davis no longer wants Harbaugh suspended. Joey Galloway says there should be due process. I'm guessing this may be coming from the higher ups that want those 50 tickets to The Game

I did cancel my Disney/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle, specifically citing the sensationalized reporting around this. You’re all welcome.

On a serious note, Disney has been hemorrhaging viewership on ESPN recently. Whether that’s Fox actively being more competitive, or people being tired of ESPNs coverage of things is debatable. Hopefully the latter and they will eventually get the hint.

OSU #1 is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. They are a top ten-ish team, clearly much worse than they've been in a while. Their offense with Stroud or Fields (and a lot of RB + WR talent) was pretty scary; this is not that. And their defense is an unknown; some good players along the line, but a line does not a defense make.

Meanwhile, Kansas Bill Self signs extension (5yr/53M) to become the highest paid coach after...

the 6yr NCAA investigation that resulted in a "slap on the wrist" penalty for 5 Level1 violations while...

Michigan awaits an immediate, potential death penalty for sign stealing that delays Harbaugh's contract extension.

I mean last week the head honcho CFP dude was being interviewed by ESPN and even he said something in the lines of "The CFP is completely separate from the NCAA and we only focus on the games being played on the field. Not the chatter off the field" (paraphrasing)

In other words, its all about the money for the CFP committee. There is zero chance an undefeated Michigan team gets leaped by someone like Washington, Oregon, etc. because Pat fucking Mcafee thinks they shouldn't get a spot.

So all of these media clowns working for ESPN can suck a fat one.

I know folks probably aren't giving ESPN any views, but Joey Galloway repeated the "Due Process" line. Then Greg McElroy and Rece Davis both spoke up against banning the team from the CFP or suspending Harbaugh because that would punish the kids. They were all for giving Harbaugh and the school a hefty fine.

I doubt Pettiti goes for anything short of a suspension and big court fight, but it's interesting to hear this somewhat softer tone from the ESPN team, especially Rece Davis. I wonder why???

Thank you.  I haven't seen or heard "it's a small violation" enough.  Good grief.  It is a cost saving rule with no assigned penalty.  It is like everyone has the other team's signs in advance but somehow it matters how you got the signs.  (I suppose the rules say it does matter but in what environment would that be a good rule?)

This is idiotic! They rank Iowa saying they find a way to win while completely discounting Michigan's dominance. Michigan is doing to their opponents what their SoS tells them they should do. And somehow that's a bad thing.

If ESPN wants tickets for The Game then they can log in to Conner Stalion's Stub Hub account and get them that way. Pretty sure he has some heavy discounts built up by now.
