Our boys are fast, the problem last year was wrapping up, its a hell of alot easier to wrap up a 180lb guy then it is to wrap up a 240lb guy, Wells had great RB vision I don't see that from watching the other guys run, but will see this year.

PJ Hill is also leaving early, although he didn't turn out as great as his freshman year indicated he might have.

all we have to do next November is chase Pryor around and if we chase him to the sideline he'll step out way short of the first down marker.

He did. He looked pretty good against Texas, too. He's not quite at Wells's level, but the dropoff's not as big as some here want to believe.

its still ohio state. if we're this deep at RB, we have to know they are too. they'll find someone to replace him who is comparably good

I agree. Anyone hoping this leads to OSU starting a kid with bad vision and fumbling problems shouldn't hold their breath. Ohio St loses running backs to the draft early all the time and they almost always reload with another great back.

Agreed that there will be no lack of talent and ability, but Beanie was a cut-above when he stayed healthy, which unfortunately he was every time he played against Michigan. He was probably the best tailback they've had since Maurice Clar-- I mean Eddie George.

he is too fragile. When he's healthy he is great, but it seems like he is made of glass. Somewhat like Fred Taylor early in his career.

Agree. I think he'll be a great short-term pick who can provide immediate help for any team that drafts him. But it's tough seeing him having a long career. His goal will have to be a productive 3-4 years out of the gate and then cash in on a big contract before he breaks down and washes up.

Even if osu "reloads" with an exellent tailback, it would still be a downgrade from Wells. Also, now that he is gone I won't have to listen to that ridiculous nickname on Saturdays.

Beanie Wells was very good. The other backs on the roster are not as good. Dan Herron is scary, but I'm not too worried about Jamaal Berry. I don't really see him becoming a force. A good player, yes. A Heisman candidate anytime in his career like George and Clarett and Wells? I don't think so.

Dan herron is really good actually - great combination of size and speed. He wasn't Beanie size, but he will torture us too. And you will have to listen to repeated chants of "Boom" and announcers calling him "Boom" Herron constantly.

I think Terrelle Pryor should hire an agent and petition to be allowed into the NFL like Clarett did. If it doesn't work, he can always drive around with grey goose and machine guns.
