Bowl projections
Michigan-Washington in the Holiday Bowl.
We open at Washington in 2020.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:09 AM ^
If this season ends up that way (i.e. 3-4 losses) then I would so much rather Michigan go to the Holiday Bowl and face a Pac-12 team versus playing yet another SEC team in yet another lame-ass Florida bowl.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:09 AM ^
Chris Petersen will coach circles around Harbaugh. Give me ASU, USC or Oregon.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:19 AM ^
Same Petersen that lost at home to Cal and against Stanford's backup QB?
October 14th, 2019 at 12:42 PM ^
No way, Jose. Herm Edwards will torch Harbaugh as well
October 14th, 2019 at 11:09 AM ^
Does the Pac 12 still have their shitty bowl in SF? I think that it used to be called the Emerald Bowl. That would be a fun one. Maybe Cal versus UM if Cal manages not to totally suck.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:22 AM ^
Ah yes, the prestigious Redbox Bowl. You may recall last year's 7-6 barnburner between Oregon and MSU.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:25 AM ^
Staying away from SF and their bags of poop on the sidewalks
October 14th, 2019 at 12:20 PM ^
LOL at a guy from Florida snarkin’ on San Francisco or any other locale. Oh, the irony
October 14th, 2019 at 12:44 PM ^
I travel every week for my job and San Francisco is much, much more worse than Florida. My company will no longer put employees in downtown San Fran hotels.
October 14th, 2019 at 1:01 PM ^
SF is pretty rough - I used to live there and my sister still does. However, like most places in the world, if you're a well-to-do tourist it's a fun time.
LA is filled with bum tents. I don't think most people would view LA as a terrible place to visit.
October 14th, 2019 at 1:55 PM ^
Pretty sure Florida doesn't have rampant shit on the sidewalks. No apps that show where the shit is
October 14th, 2019 at 1:04 PM ^
With the game being played in Santa Clara avoiding SF isn't going to be a challenge.
October 14th, 2019 at 1:53 PM ^
Having just moved to the bay area I'd be totally ok with UM coming out this way for game.
October 14th, 2019 at 2:16 PM ^
I'm a UM/Cal grad, so that would probably be a game I'd have to catch.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:09 AM ^
Don't want to put anything on film, better run up the gut each play.
Oh wait, that would be putting the entire playbook on display.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:11 AM ^
I'd be more worried about 3-5 players sitting out so they don't get injured for the draft.
Shea, a WR, vert hill, maybe an OL?
October 14th, 2019 at 3:43 PM ^
Why on earth would Shea sit out?
October 14th, 2019 at 4:17 PM ^
Shea doesn’t want to mess up his prospects of going pro. He has his eyes on that green jacket.
October 14th, 2019 at 8:42 PM ^
Oh you mean that guy in the green jacket who calls TV timeouts? Yeah, I could see that.
October 15th, 2019 at 7:14 AM ^
For the same reason Higdon sat out last year, I'd imagine
October 14th, 2019 at 10:13 AM ^
For what it's worth (not much) 24/7 has Michigan vs Texas A&M in the Gator Bowl which I think would be more interesting.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:14 AM ^
I think the Gator Bowl picks lower on the selection totem pole than the Holiday.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:19 AM ^
So tired of Florida bowl games versus SEC teams. Something else, please.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:35 AM ^
I'm just tired of games against the Florida Gators (and South Carolina to a lesser extent). We haven't played A&M since '95, and I don't think we've played any team from Texas since the Rose Bowl with VY in '05. Plus Texas A&M is winnable for us IMO.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:46 AM ^
We actually played a team from Texas last year, SMU. But Power 5, yes I believe you are correct.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:50 AM ^
I believe that he was talking in the context of bowl games, though I could be wrong.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:48 AM ^
I mean, yeah, if it has to be a Florida bowl then I could stomach Michigan facing a team it hasn't played in forever, though I'd caution you to view any bowl game opponent as a beatable one when you consider the last 15 years of Michigan bowl games (and really Michigan's bowl history in general).
October 14th, 2019 at 11:01 AM ^
Oh I agree, by "winnable" I only mean that we have a reasonable chance at beating them not that it's any kind of guarantee.
October 14th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
Now that's a team we can beat! And since it's Texas A&M, they'll probably be ranked like 14th or something.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:21 AM ^
I just want to play an overmatched opponent for an easy win. Would rather not end the year on two straight losses again.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:23 AM ^
South Carolina?
October 14th, 2019 at 11:09 AM ^
Georgia says no.

Why are you # everything? They aren't links like on social media. Just looks stupid and all of your posts are incredibly annoying. Would be nice to have an ignore function.

The ignore function is inside your brain.

in case you haven't been watching us play this year (though i do hold out some slim hope for saturday), this is the bowl we are headed for this weekend...

Little known fact: the sound of toilets flushing in the stadium bathrooms is precisely that of the Nittany Lion roar broadcast during games...
October 14th, 2019 at 10:28 AM ^
I’d like for Michigan to win their bowl game even if it’s worthless. Just winning creates so much positivity going into the next year. Experiment with creative play calling and try out some new people. And ultimately just win.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:32 AM ^
This is the last game for the B1G in the Holiday Bowl for a while, as the tie-ins are changing for 2020-2025. If a New Years Six game isn’t going to happen, I’d rather see us in San Diego than anywhere else.

after we beat psu, we'll be projected to play in the rose bowl....

October 14th, 2019 at 11:19 AM ^
Not possible. They would have to finish 9-3.
Either they win this week and finish 10-2 and end up in Florida on NYD vs. Georgia or Auburn..
Or they lose this week and finish 7-5 and play ASU or Colorado in the RedBox Bowl.
There's really no realistic in-between. Everything is fated. All will be revealed Saturday night.
