During that Indiana game last season one of the two was VERY excited every time Indiana got yards, and every time Michigan did something productive he was very unimpressed. Was not an unbiased crew in my mind. Watch for pro-MSU commentary

If they can somehow manage to be pro-MSU during this game, they should probably each get a raise. ///////SSSSSSSS

Finding some positives in this predicted slaughter would be impressive. I can see hear it now...."another play for positive yardage" "that's just a preview of what (insert Stae player), can do" and so on and so forth, "lots of young guys" blah blah blah.

I disagree. Millen seems to be pretty pro-Michigan. I guess I don't notice the comments about the calls, but from what I've heard he compliments Michigan's decisions and plays more than I notice anyone else.

I spent a number of years in Seattle while Brock was quarterback at Washington. After his football career was over he became a staple for sports talk in Puget Sound. He does a pretty good job with the play by play.

Brock Huard is an asshat, plain and simple.

I remember vs PSU last year he kept advocating Hackenberg scramble in space vs Peppers.  Sounds like a man who did his research.

I would rather have Millen. He would just put down the MSU players sayin how unathletic they are the whole game.

Anyone but Matt Millen!  He can almost single handedly ruin a Michigan gameday for me.  He thinks he is so damn smart about everything; but if that was true he would still be on the sideline, not in the press box.

I'd rather have Spielman & Herbstreit call the ohio game, with Tressel doing the sideline reporting, then have Millen anywhere near our broadcasts.

I honestly have no problem with Spielman or Herbstreit's calling of any game. I think they both do a good job. Millen is usually fine. There's just a lot of hate from Lions fans.

Pro tip: try not being a Lions fan! /s

I think Spielman and Herbstreit are some of the better announcers at staying objective for sure.  I do think they might have a tougher time covering The Game, but would still be better than Millen.

Also, it is probably just me, but from watching the last 2 buckeye games, it seemed that Herbstreit was slightly more biased, perhaps energetic when talking about the buckeyes vs their opponents.

These guys get very excitable. So, if UM starts out slow or God forbid MSU wins, they will make you want to pull your hair out on top of the general anxiety you have over the game.

Wischusen is a really good PBP guy. I really enjoyed his call of the Indiana game last year.

Brock on the other hand...has some really bizzare metaphors he uses. I remember during the Penn St game last week he said Hackenberg had a "cereal box throw" and a "car wash" throw.

Wischusen is one of the few good PBP guys ESPN has left. But Huard gets on his high horse too much. He acts like he knows it all.. just like Danny Kanell.

I think that Brad Nessler might be gone?  I haven't heard him this year.  Blackledge is doing games with Joe Tessitore, I believe, and they are easily Disney's best pair this year.

Nessler is with CBS now. He will take over for Verne next season as the lead CBS PBP guy.

I believe Blackledge is with Tessitore now, which is probably the best team ESPN has.

Bob Wischusen is great but he is stuck doing ESPN's "D" games because he doesn't fit the modern ESPN mold of being a bombastic blowhard who has no business whatsoever doing play-by-play.  Guys like Steve Levy who just suck sooo horribly.

Should not be calling games PBP. You can tell they are so much better suited for those round table discussions and leading a panel.

Between the two, Levy's 900 times worse. At least Fowler can inject SOME life here and there. Levy's call of Lewis's Wisconsin INT was pathetic.

He's been doing it for what, 4-5 years for college football? He's never been a main guy until they started the playoffs, at least from what I can remember.

And when I do watch a broadcast he does, his describing a play is like JV when compared to the good ones.

He's a great overall guy for the big events, but I think his regular "in the trenches" work for games is pretty bad.
