Blake Corum up to #3 in Heisman Odds
Workmanlike BC performance + some mediocrity from the top QBs has a reshuffling of the board:
- Stroud -125
- Hooker +250
- BC +700
- Williams +800 (playing tonight)
- Bennett +1000
- Nix +1200
- ...big jump off to +2500
Corum was sitting at +1400 (tied with Williams for 4th) before play today, with Hooker the odds on favorite at +100.
If nothing else he's building separation to be the non-QB invite to NYC, but our collision course could go a long way to determining this race as well!

November 26th will determine everything for this season. Like Dr. Jaws… can’t wait

Pretty much.

Well let’s just hope it’s windy, or cold, or snow? Rain? Too sunny? Too cloudy? Maybe a pollen advisory in late November will give us the edge we need to beat them again.I’m just glad we don’t play mighty Northwestern outside the United States, or at all. Then I would be worried.

Id like a QB from the south to win it
Id like a QB from the north to win it
Id like a QB from the west to win it
Id like to see a running back win it
There is a path if voters get put into these 4 categories.

Lots of vote cancelling. Need another Tennessee loss and, of course, THE GAME. Truly could be a heisman/ national championship season a la 1997…
November 5th, 2022 at 11:58 PM ^
Your Heisman frontrunner tonight: 10/26 for 76 yards against the worst team in the Big Ten!
November 6th, 2022 at 12:28 AM ^
Will the voters take today’s weather into consideration? To be fair, those stats are not indicative of his talent due to the excessive wind. He is not a mobile QB but yet one could argue that his legs are the reason they won today. It’s looking more and more like the winner of The Game is going to be your Heisman winner as well.
November 6th, 2022 at 1:35 AM ^
I disagree. I think he IS a mobile QB. I'd even say he's a good runner. But it seems like he just...hates to.
November 6th, 2022 at 5:49 AM ^
Well, your user name checks out. Otherwise, Stroud's opposing QB, the inordinately recruited and talented Mr. Sullivan, was 10 for 14. Stroud remains soft as hell-like the rest of that team.
November 6th, 2022 at 9:51 AM ^
NorthWestern threw for 79 yards on 10/17. CJ Stroud should not be throwing less than NorthWestern QB let alone having that kind of a percentage. Just saying.
November 6th, 2022 at 12:29 AM ^
Yes but it was damp
November 6th, 2022 at 1:59 AM ^
I hope we have the same type of weather on 11/26 in Columbus. Michigan is the extreme weather team!

Charmin QB

It’s a QB award. But if we could get two non QBs to NY in two years, that’s great. Lot of season left and last game of the season will go a long way. I’d rather win the big ten than the Heisman and I bet Blake agrees. Would love both! Go blue!
November 6th, 2022 at 12:02 AM ^
Would actually be great to get a QB there one day too. :)
November 6th, 2022 at 12:02 AM ^
The heisman and the national championship will happen by following one path - win out and we will get both.
November 6th, 2022 at 12:10 AM ^
CJ Stroud even being in the conversation is hilarious. So many QBs would be successful surrounded by that offense.
November 6th, 2022 at 12:30 AM ^
except him, today
November 6th, 2022 at 1:43 AM ^
In fairness, he did sneeze once the day before the game, so you can understand his poor performance.
November 6th, 2022 at 12:13 AM ^
Corum is The Chosen One

Go, Blake! Go, Blue!

Bryce Young has looked better in these losses to UT/LSU than he did all season last year.
That is a very mediocre team, and it's taken a lot of his heroics to even get them to this point.
November 6th, 2022 at 12:30 AM ^
Bryce Young is savvy as hell. He can escape doom like few QBs I have ever seen. Let me ask you this, would you rather have Bryce Young or CJ Stroud as your QB. The answer is clear, to me at least.
Besides that, Bryce Young seems like a genuinely good guy. CJ Stroud seems like a douche bag.
November 6th, 2022 at 7:40 AM ^
Got weirdly aggressive at the end there... Maybe I missed something, but I can't recall any reasons to hate Stroud besides being a good OSU QB.
November 6th, 2022 at 8:03 AM ^
I wouldn’t like Stroud even if he wasn’t OSU’s QB. He’s soft, whiny, and entitled. When it comes to intangibles, he’s everything you don’t want in a football player.
November 6th, 2022 at 8:14 AM ^
Definitely Young. He's actually had to face some adversity this year, and he's had several "Heisman Moments" in these games to even keep Bama competitive. It's the rest of the team that's looked like crap.
Meanwhile, Stroud faces the smallest bit of adversity, and he folds like a cheap table.
Listen, I hate Bama like everyone else and am sick of their program QBs and RBs having a lock on the Heisman, but this is really the one year I've been impressed with one of their players, and he won't even be in NYC this year.
November 6th, 2022 at 12:49 AM ^
I knew Blake was beyond the norm but until I saw that graphic they showed during the Rutgers game comparing him to the other heisman winning rbs through 8 games... wow, he is in great company.
A truly special one on our hands
November 6th, 2022 at 1:06 AM ^
At the end of the game, Corum came all the way over to the visitor section, which is at the opposite corner of the stadium as the tunnel, to give all the UM fans high fives. Pretty much everyone else had already headed into the locker rooms. That was pretty cool
November 6th, 2022 at 8:47 AM ^
Careful Blake. I've got it on good authority that if you deign to enter The Tunnel alone, you're "asking for it".
November 6th, 2022 at 1:16 AM ^
The winner will have to be on a playoff team. It might come down to The Game.
November 6th, 2022 at 1:53 AM ^
I hope Blake has a similar game to what TD Tim had against OSU.
November 6th, 2022 at 11:23 AM ^
If Corum even gets 150 and two touchdowns…and we beat Ohio then all the hardware is Michigan
November 6th, 2022 at 6:36 AM ^
Great production in limited touches for Buh-La-Kay. Another 15-20 touches vs Braska, before getting ready for a heavy load down the stretch. Will definitely be at the Downtown Athletic Club.
November 6th, 2022 at 9:11 AM ^
Please win the Heisman in the Horseshoe, Blake!
November 6th, 2022 at 9:43 AM ^
Aidan was a finalist last year. Maybe B. C. this year . . . Donovan or JJ in the next few years?
November 6th, 2022 at 10:35 AM ^
I know there is bias on my part towards OSU players, but I just don’t see it with Stroud. Marvin Harrison Jr. looks like the MVP of that offense. CJ doesn’t even seem to be good at clock/game management and looks very one dimensional. Misses just as many deep throws as JJ IMO.
November 6th, 2022 at 11:34 AM ^
I’m not thinking about the Heisman at all. Corum might go to New York but he’s not a quarterback, so chances of winning are extremely slim.
But it doesn’t take away from how much fun it is watching Corum play. That diving touchdown in the 3rd quarter last night where he had to keep his balance and reach the ball over the goal line looked soooooo much like what Mike Hart did against Sparty in 2005. He hovered for a bit before hitting the ground. LOVED it.
