What do you think about Ohio?
February 22nd, 2015 at 3:54 PM ^
For Big Sean and especially for Adam Weiss and all his 'minions'.

Really?? "Dat jersey tho?"
February 22nd, 2015 at 1:24 PM ^
apparent he hasn't gone through Camp Sanderson.

That's what Michigan basketball needed. More things that suck.

Is this the same guy who did Goats on 22's?
February 22nd, 2015 at 1:51 PM ^
Too bad he couldn't have helped with Mike Weber.
And since he is a bucknut, I don't care if I have the right number of "b" in his last name.

that's what donnal said
February 22nd, 2015 at 12:42 PM ^
I almost asked that same question but once I realized he wasn't a recruit I knew I didn't care who he was.

plus...I know that question makes me not young.

About an inch shorter than Spike. I will go with 5'9

Random response #1: The angle of the camera could be throwing every off, I took a photography class for a week before add/drop ended
Random response #2: Plus Big Sean has got on Timberland boots, I have that same pair and they definitely make you taller
Random response #3: No way Spike is taller, he's in my business management class and he's definitely no taller than 5'9.
Random response #4: But what if Spike is bare foot?
Random response #5: But what if he's on his tip toes?
Random response #6: Just got home from work, time for some Bell's Two Hearted!
Random response #7: (post deleted due to sexybits violation)
Random response #8: Isn't this an NCAA violation?
Random response #9: NO! Snoop Dog is always hanging out at SC - this is no different!
Random response #10: Harbaugh.

That post was the essence of every single thread distilled to its most basic form. Well done.

He's always hanging out at Space Coyote's. I never viewed him as being up on rap music.

Awesome.
Just cut and paste this on the board each day, and we can all go home.

and was signed by Kanye West (overrated rapper and colossal douche)...all I need to know about Big Sean. If this was Kendrick Lamar...then I would be excited.
February 22nd, 2015 at 12:47 PM ^
Kanye has made one of the most critcally acclaimed albums of this century in My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. You not liking him doesn't make him a shitty artist.
Not to mention The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s and Heartbreak, Yeezus, Watch The Throne, and Cruel Summer. The guy has been putting out amazing music his whole career. Personality aside, he is one of the best rappers of this generation. That is undeniable whether you personally like him or not.
February 22nd, 2015 at 12:50 PM ^
When Kanye writes his own music, plays his own instruments, and not use auto-tune then you can call Kanye talented.

February 22nd, 2015 at 12:56 PM ^
He does ALL of those things...
Wow that was an idiotic statement.
Kanye wrote and produced the majority of one of the best albums ever in College Dropout and used no autotune.

lol, the man literally made the 95% of the album by himself. Lyrics, beats, production and the only hint of autotune isn't even him...it's a sped up sample on The New Workout Plan.
February 22nd, 2015 at 1:00 PM ^
Really show me a video of Kanye playing the piano, guitar. Dude all of his music auto-tuned shit. I am a musician. A bunch of magazine ratings is not the data that proves your point.

That's him playing piano...not sure why that is relevant, but you asked for it so I figured I'd provide it.
Anyway, do you know what a producer does in the studio? Honest question, because I think you think making beats is the same as autotune...and it's not.
February 22nd, 2015 at 1:07 PM ^
I don't think you know what auto-tune is.
Springsteen owns that no talent ass clown.

The logic in your statements is so terribly flawed...it's hilarious. How about you have your own taste and listen to what you want to listen to. If you don't like his music, that's fine, but be realistic.
February 22nd, 2015 at 1:21 PM ^
There are TONS of artists who can play music better than Kanye West can. No question.
That doesn't mean he doesn't have talent. It also doesn't mean he can create his own music...because he's already done that.
He produced every single song on his first three albums except TWO. That's like 2 songs out of 50.
February 22nd, 2015 at 1:44 PM ^
I'm not really sure why you're randomly comparing Springsteen to Kanye West (other than to invoke GET OFF MY LAWN rhetoric), but when your chief complaint about a celebrity musician/producer/whatever is that he uses auto tune, it's probably not in your best interest to compare that person to a vocalist who is frequently flat and sounds like he's passing a kidney stone.
Also, why is auto tune even being brought up? Kanye only used it on like, one album as an aesthetic choice.
February 22nd, 2015 at 5:06 PM ^
He thinks a producer in the studio, crafting a beat...whether from scratch or from a sample...is autotune.
February 22nd, 2015 at 7:39 PM ^
I'm sure half of these geezers complaining about producers not playing "real" instruments had no problem with Pink Floyd and The Who extensively using computer-sequenced synthesizers (both in the studio and live) in the mid-to-late seventies.
Comparing a traditional musician to a producer is like comparing gymnastics to painting: it doesn't really work. I find it hard to believe that anyone actually listens to any piece of music and first-and-foremost takes into account the perceived level of skill/talent/difficulty required in judging that piece of music instead of just listening to it and deciding if he/she likes how it sounds or not. It's silly. It's also silly to disparage one form of expression in comparison to the other, given that cheap digital sampling has been readily available and used in pop music for well over thirty years now. It's not going away, guys, and odds are, some of your favorite musicians who play "real" instruments have utilized it extensively on some of your favorite tracks. Get over it.
February 23rd, 2015 at 8:35 AM ^
For the geezers, producers are akin to arrangers.
February 23rd, 2015 at 8:32 AM ^
It's because he only respects music by people who resemble him physically. His nonsense explanations are an attempt to cover the actual reason.
February 22nd, 2015 at 1:09 PM ^
It's incredible how out of touch people are with this. Just spewing nonsense because they saw the media say he was a jerk.
Producing is basically the rap equivalent of playing your own instruments and he only used autotune mainly on 808s and heartbreak. Which was more of an artistic choice than a necessary one. It's like wearing a wig because you want crazy blue hair instead of your standard blonde hair, rather than wearing a wig because you're bald.
February 22nd, 2015 at 12:54 PM ^
...and I have excellent taste in music...so if I don't like him...he most definitely sucks. He is actually 10 times the music producer than he is a rapper. He is undeniably the most overrated rapper of his generation...but master of auto-tune. When you get a break from watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians...I can send you some great music recommendations.
February 22nd, 2015 at 12:57 PM ^
Throwing a tantrum isn't going to sway people to your point.
Kanye doesn't "suck". I would love to hear (non-sarcastically) who do you think is leaps and bounds above Kanye though.
