He is outplaying #1 Mobley (SC commit).

Dickinson hurt his knee in the first quarter and left the game. He came back to start the second quarter and has scored 13 points as Dematha leads Rancho Christian 32-20. Hunter scoring inside and from 3 point range. Juwan and Michigan getting lots of mention.

Nice to watch a game where the Michigan player is actually playing in this tournament.  Still amazing how stacked are these high-profile high school teams: Rancho Christian's 6th man was the leading scorer in the state of Missouri before transferring for more time on the bench.

As they mentioned in the broadcast there is a significant difference between #1 player in high school and #1 recruit based on future potential.  A high school coach would definitely select Green or Cunningham to build their team around to win today, but the best NBA prospect is that skinny 7 footer Mobley.

28 points (12/17) and 6 boards and player of the game despite missing part of the game with an injury limiting him to 23 minutes against the number one recruit who he outscored...solid game to say the least.

Dickinson finishes with 28 points on 12-17 shooting and 6 rebounds in the Dematha win against the #1 player.

Hunter has the size and skills to not only contribute next year, he will probably start.

He won player of the game with that many elite players on the floor, including the number 1 player in the country who he was matched up with. That is extremely impressive, especially since he didn’t play most of the first quarter due to injury.

I watched Dickinson for the first time today, and liked what I saw.  Particularly, the announcers case that Hunter always shows up big in the big games.  I am sure that he will need time to adjust to the speed and athleticism of the college game but I think he could play at Teske's (senior year level) right now.  Not saying that he wouldn't have his share of frustrating moments as well (and he has no more hops or court speed as Teske/Davis, but he seems to be a naturally aggressive player in the paint.  He doesn't waste time in getting the ball on its way to the hoop and he has spent his whole career bodying the country's best 7 footers.  I recently watched Mark Williams in IMG's game yesterday with Jackson's team and he seems like more of a project than Dickinson.

I think people consistently underrate Teske.  He is a good passer, sets good screens, getting better on his outside shots (not easy for a 7 footer to be a legit 3 pt threat), generally plays solid to good defense without too much fouling and is a team guy.  Looking forward to Dickinson but I think people will realize that Teske was a good player when he leaves.

I think Teske is like Matthews in that many are going to realize how valuable they were when they leave.

I actually think Teske could be a bigger loss than X although it looks like HD will be able to slide in comfortably, along with a beefed up Castleton and a more confident Johns.
