Bama is out, Clemson loses, UT loses, OSU struggles
Looks like UM will be #2 in the playoff ranking this week.
Still concerned about our passing game, but OSU-UM going into CBus should be a #2-#3 battle either way.
Very possible, 2 B1G teams could actually make the playoff this year, but a lot of football left to be played.

I don’t think we’ll jump OSU, but we’re in the top 4 either way.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:21 PM ^
Had our first half not played out like their first half today, I think we could have jumped them. But maybe we will still just based off OSU really never pulling away like we did.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:32 PM ^
Fitz said after the game that Northwestern put 2 extra men in the box because both coaches knew that passing would be non-existent in Chicago with 40 to 50 MPH winds. That game was destined to be a lot closer than the point spread. Wish I would have put money on it like I was thinking about doing before the game

I see we have a long game, subtle OSU fan/troll here. Posting history shows OSU is the focus of 95% of your comments. You need to try a little harder to disguise yourself my man.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:57 PM ^
As mentioned many times, I live in Delaware OH - about 30 miles north of Columbus and am very familiar with all things OSU. I received my BSME from UM in 1972 and actually knew Bo. Sorry to disappoint you Einstein
November 6th, 2022 at 1:25 AM ^
Not only are you obsessed with OSU in your posting history - and specifically how good their defense is this year - but your vocabulary gives away that you are clearly not a 72+ year old man. It's a pretty pathetic attempt at a cover identity. Grow a pair and just come out as a Buckeye. You will feel much better. I promise.
November 6th, 2022 at 8:13 AM ^
I'm not 72+ ?? Thank you
November 7th, 2022 at 12:08 AM ^
Are you Doogie Houser? Just curious if you graduated in 1972 from UM, that makes you 50. Plus most people are around 22 when they graduate. I'm now curious! I'm guessing you might be 71!
November 5th, 2022 at 11:27 PM ^
We should though.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:14 PM ^
Should be #2 behind UGA. Will be #5 behind Tenn and LSU.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:15 PM ^
I hate your style but I agree with it dammit 🤣🤣🤣
November 5th, 2022 at 11:35 PM ^
I'll take 1 out of 2.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:29 PM ^
Nice snark but No.
November 6th, 2022 at 10:59 AM ^
Right? I don’t see a way that we’d be ranked behind a 2-loss LSU team.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:14 PM ^
Could be 3 behind OSU and Georgia if the committee prefers their win over ND over our nonconference schedule. I think we could get two big ten teams in now unless TCU or Oregon make it in.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:18 PM ^
1.) Georgia
2.) OSU
3.) UM
November 5th, 2022 at 11:20 PM ^
4) TCU
November 5th, 2022 at 11:14 PM ^
Shouldn't be much drama Tuesday. I'll be shocked if the top 5 isn't Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, TCU, and Tennessee, in that order.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:15 PM ^
Why do you think TCU will pass Tennessee? They were behind 1 loss Bama.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:19 PM ^
Because Bama's loss was a game ending field goal on the road to Tennessee. Tennessee got their ass kicked today by Georgia.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:32 PM ^
Because TCU won and Tennessee lost? Just a guess.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:17 PM ^
That's what it *should* be.
I wouldn't be surprised though if it's: UGA, ohio, M, Tenn. <-- with the shit for brains committee giving Tennessee props for a good loss.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:23 PM ^
That was NOT a good loss.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:26 PM ^
To ess eee see homers they just see the 14 points -- not the domination.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:20 PM ^
Tennessee? Seriously, no way if you watched that game.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:24 PM ^
From a committee that had Clemson 4 ? What do you think ! Tennessee is lock for 4 !
November 5th, 2022 at 11:28 PM ^
Exactly.
There's no way in hell that the committee actually watched Clemson this year. I've watched more Clemson. Clemson had one half ass quality win -- BC.
Clemson should have lost to WF.
Clemson looked like trash against NC State.
Clemson let FSU back in the game.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:33 PM ^
That committee has shit for brains. They actually had the audacity to put Clemson above UM and those jerks in ESPN were circling the wagon. Well, they should be embarrassed because they are pretty bad at evaluating teams. I have no faith in them doing anything right. AP did a better job than that committee and we all know how bad AP is.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:38 PM ^
AP bumped Clemson above Michigan in week 7.
November 6th, 2022 at 9:53 AM ^
BC isn’t a quality win, regardless of qualifiers. They lost to UConn, proud member of the Worst OOC Schedule of All Time.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:36 PM ^
Yep, agree 100%
November 5th, 2022 at 11:14 PM ^
ohio looks like a kitten v. NW
November 5th, 2022 at 11:46 PM ^
Not so sure I agree as that was just smash mouth contest after the passing game was non-existent. As mentioned, Fitz loaded up the box and OSU still ran for 200 yards. On the other side though, NU stayed with them on the ground. Just an ugly game - with the wind and rain to watch. Worst conditions I've seen in a while
November 6th, 2022 at 2:16 AM ^
Buffalo and New England played in as bad, if not worse, just last year in week 13. New England won throwing the ball just twice.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:14 PM ^
Crazy night in CFB! Go Blue!!
November 5th, 2022 at 11:14 PM ^
If Michigan isn’t #2 in the rankings this week the committee really needs to be subjected to some serious questioning.
1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Ohio State
4. TCU
5. Tennessee
6. LSU?
November 5th, 2022 at 11:35 PM ^
USC could very well be #7. Tennessee should not be in top 6 as they gave up 49 points to Bama and we're stomped today by Georgia.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:15 PM ^
Alabama still winning the SEC….could that be a good thing now?
November 5th, 2022 at 11:16 PM ^
yessir
November 5th, 2022 at 11:17 PM ^
LSU would have to lose at Arkansas AND at Texas A & M just for Alabama to have a chance to make the SEC championship game.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:37 PM ^
Ain't happening. Bama is not going to conference championship.
November 6th, 2022 at 11:08 AM ^
Agreed, it’s extremely doubtful but never underestimate Brian Kelly!
November 5th, 2022 at 11:15 PM ^
Congratulations to Brian Kelly. Couldn't happen to a worse guy.
November 6th, 2022 at 9:47 AM ^
BK stock is rising in my book. Maybe, just maybe, I can get to neutral with him. I love me some Coach O and LSU, but BK could become a dominate force in the SEC.
Saban cannot coach forever (1 or 2 more years?). Dabo moves to Bama and will not skip a beat.
November 6th, 2022 at 7:15 PM ^
Nah. Bama fans I know are saying it'll be Lane Kiffin up next.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:15 PM ^
Whatever you think of this team, the first half, whatever, Michigan should be #2 in the next CFP rankings. Clemson got rocked, Tennesse lost by 14 in a game that frankly wasn't that close, and OSU got outgained for the second straight week by Northwestern (NORTHWESTERN)
