B10 Hoops Tournament Starts Right Now
Mates,
Nebraska v. Northwestern tips off in a few minutes. The Wildcats are favored by 4 pts. Minny v. PSU @ 8:30 with PSU favored by 3.5 pts.
Both games are on BTN.
Of course our boys play tomorrow morning @ 1130 hrs.
Let the Games Begin!
XM
Curious XM, who you rooting for tonight?
I want Nebraska to keep the magic going and I'd like to see Minnesota win, as if some flukey stuff happened, I'd love another shot at them plus I think Penn State is more dangerous.
Replies work again.
!!!!!
Thanks!
wooo! reply-bang!

C'mon. There is no crying in baseball!
Such an awesome movie.
@TB9, i always root for northwestern if they're not playing michigan. i see they are 0-4 from the floor so far.
i guess i'll root for PSU in the later game, although no signif reason.
Go Huskers!
Make Collins bark like a dog!
Looooot of bricks so far.
Nebraska makes a Saturday game. You read it here first. And when I'm wrong you'll have forgotten anyway.
Not this year. NW wins by two....
NW starting to hit some 3's
My other thought about this game is that Robbie Hummel is vastly overqualified to be calling this.
@HP, your wish...
Bark like a dog!
^^^^^
One of my favorite movies of all time 😂😂😂
Correct me if I’m wrong Sandy... if we kill all the golfers
one of the all time great movies. can't help myself
One of my "favorite" days of college hoops season. PSU playing on the 1st day of the BTT basketball tourney. A near-annual tradition!
(seriously, they've played on the 1st day all but 3 years all-time, and one of those years was 2020, which the tournament never finished anyway)
PSU is moving on!
Early in the season (maybe a dozen games in), four players on MN were in the top five nationally in playing time. As the graphic was shown on TV, the announcers said that there was no team depth and these players would eventually tire out - especially with their pace of play. Given their second half free fall, looks like they were right.
I see B1G refs are still B1G refs
Wow, it's lucky that Chris Collins has lifetime job security at Northwestern.
Go NU! Beat NU!
... as the University of Nebraska continues to pretend it's NU.
I've long seen Nebraska referred to as UNL (University of Nebraska - Lincoln), just as University of Nebraska - Omaha is shortened to UNO.
i go do barn chores and come back to a 1 point game. go cats!
If Pete Nance decides to play his extra covid year, he would look really good in maize and blue if Hunter doesn't come back.
@Blue Vet --- agree with you. But UNL (what they should brand themselves as) isn't the only one that does it. Colorado, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma too.
(Edited to include: the REPLY button is back! I just noticed!)
"And we're tied at 69"
Hummel: "Nice!"
good news: replies work!
unintended consequence news: points, not so much.
What? The only reason I come here is for the points.
Can anyone rationally explain how that charge call is beneficial to the game and how it is even remotely considered a basketball play? Why did that start becoming a rewarded play...54pt basketball games suck and those calls are partly to blame.
Once upon a time I remember a full 1 second count was what was unofficially needed to be considered "set". Now it's down to nothing and a defender jumping from 6 feet away at the last 0.001 second impeding an already momentous ballhandler gets rewarded with a "charge". Fix that shit and the game becomes better and officials don't have to guess as much on many of these calls...fewer players will attempt the "jump in front of a halfway-airborne player".
b-nut, that was a legit charge call. buie slid over when the guy was at the top of the key (approx) and just because he wasn't the main defender doesn't mean he didn't get charged.
and you wrote earlier, 'nebraska will be playing on saturday'. not this year. they had a heck of a run at the end of the season and in the first half of this game, but a tough loss.
