Arizona State President talks trash to Harbaugh

So, apparently the president of Arizona State likes to trash talk. He was on some radio show talking about a potential series with Michigan football and decided to take a jab at Harbaugh. Funny thing though, he gets ripped for it!

Better start jacking because 4 of those teams can beat Michigan. Utah, Oregon, and USC certainly. Throw in another due to Michigan not being motivated like Army this year. Since when has the Big 10 become a great football conference? Outside of OSU- who else is a threat?

It’s not though.... Michigan would eat that schedule up. Penn state , Minnesota, of course Osu , hell maybe even Wisconsin would eat that up

I’m a pac 12 fan, love the Cougs, but other than the current Oregon program ....no other team can say anything close to this about Michigan or most of the B1G.

Now,  if ASU was looking to put even more fire under Jim and Co. when they open up at PAC12 “power” UW well they probably succeed

But those coaches lost to everyone in the respective years that M played Utah.  That was Richrod's awful first season and Hoke awful last season.

So again, first game of the season on the road, new staff, new QB. Utah just got lucky timing with those three games.  They're a solid team but as the second toughest game on a schedule, they're highly beatable.  Not nearly as scary as Wisconsin at Camp Randall or PSU at Happy Valley.

I will say, Michigan has a pretty cake schedule in 2020 relative to typical years, assuming Washington isn't great next year.  Second toughest game...at Minnesota who loses a ton of players, iirc?

Michigan probably should be 11-0 going into The Game.

IMHO UM has been better than Washington, Oregon, Stanford, and USC and they each have conference titles during JH's tenure at UM.  My hunch is if UM had played in the PAC 12 during JH's tenure they'd likely have won 1-2 conference championships in 2016 and/or 2018 and maybe appearances in the conference championship games in 2015 and 2019 well as playoff appearances in 2016 and/or 2018.  I don't see any Pac 12 team going 5-0 against UM.  And, no Pac 12 team would win the B1G East and/or beat OSU.

This is hilarious.

Crow: "We, Arizona State, want to play Harbaugh because he can't beat Ohio State!"

*Michigan beats Arizona State 45-17*

Crow: "LOL good luck against Ohio State, idiots"

Saw this earlier. What in the H is a college President doing talking about the football team "possible" future schedule and then trying to trash talk JH. I suspect the outcome will be less than optimal for pres.

As an ASU alum, who also worked on campus for several years, and has (humble brag) met Michael Crow, this does not surprise me in the slightest.  Done a pretty good job with the university itself-can't tell his ass from a hole in the ground on athletics.

Also insists on wearing khaki's that accentuate his moose knuckles at every event.

I am also an ASU alum.  I disagree somewhat regarding Crow.  I would like ASU to stop focusing on land development.

He doesn't know squat about athletics...but Hurley has been a great hire and Edwards hasn't been the debacle that most thought he would be...not that he was directly responsible for hiring them.

I don't disagree about the land development but if you look where the university was when he took over and where it is now, it's a big difference.  Also much less fun.

Side note- they actually got into some trouble with their land deals where they basically got sued by the state AG for like tax evasion or something on it.

Our record against OSU is unquestionably embarrassing and a black mark on what has otherwise been a successful return to the upper echelons of college football (clearly not the uppermost echelon but a far cry from the dark days of the decade that proceeded the Harbaugh era.

That said this guys a complete ass clown if he thinks that their recent scurmishes with a dead-in-the-water program from Mark Dantonio’s School for NCAA Violations means they are on par with one of the best programs in the B1G. Pride comes before the....remaining a middling PAC 12 team, Sir.
