AP poll: M at #25

Welll said Vlad. Two insights on this Sunday

1) Everyone but us diehards hates UM.  As proof see the #25 ranking. Deserved or not. Also. Coastal Carolina and Cincys ratings are not reflective of their reality. 

2) The Lions are in mid season form. An L all day long but they keep you interested until the bitter inevitable end. 

I agree.  But I still deserve the right to bitch where OTHER teams are ranked. 

This week?  I’m actually surprised OSU dropped farther than 3 spots.  I guess miracles do happen sometimes.

Very true Quailman.  I've been a huge negative nancy this offseason, but that just tells me to enjoy the good moments as much as you can while they happen.  We may lose to Ohio State later this year, but that doesn't mean I'm not savoring their delicious tears for the whole week.

Well it does look like an easy way to get a ton of those golden upvotes!

For the most part I agree with you about ND but I'll give the voters some slack thus week since they dropped ND four spots.  I figured since they're ND the voters would move them into the top 5 despite 2 uninspiring wins.

I see posts like this often, and accept the 'who gives a flying whoosie' attitude. But they're polls, and if we're going to have them they should--to the best extent possible--be accurate, and it also follows that people can debate them, should to the extent that they carry influence. 

If Michigan is underrated by pollsters, true, it's not the worst thing if you keep winning, especially at the start of the season. But what happens when you lose? Odds are you fall, then, and remain underappreciated at season's end. What bowls or tourneys might it keep you out of? 

Again, polls are dumb, inaccurate, etcetera. But of course we want to receive our due; it's really not all that mysterious. 

Sam Webb tweeted that Harbaugh said it was cramps during the presser

Several mentions in other posts that Vastardis was cramping.  Sounded like that was coming from Harbaugh.  This is all second/third hand, so take it for what it's worth.

Apparently Vastardis was just dehydrated

There is no style of football that is more entertaining than actually consistently winning. 

Give me boring, productive, plays any day. 

It’s hard to argue with those quality losses. 

You'll be able to say that regarding our next two opponents. It will take until the Wisconsin game on October 2nd. As long as Michigan wins and can beat the point spread in doing it, that will be fine with me.

If you look around the country at what other ranked teams have done this season (Miami, ND, etc.), and then look at what Michigan has done, there is no reason why they shouldn't have a ranking in the high 20's. Michigan is beating their opponents 78-24 and averaging 330 yards per game on the ground. That's every bit as impressive as what some higher ranked programs have done through two weeks.

We just dominated a Power 5 opponent that began the year (i.e., two weeks ago) was in the top 25. 

The self-loathing act is tiresome.  Being ranked #25 isn't even that big of a compliment.  That basically projects to 8-4 or so.

We all know they’ll find a way to get ND up there until they have their 7th loss

That’s if ESPN’s site is working properly which isn’t always a given. Also you must be excited for the game in a few weeks. We’ve all got to be thankful for what we’ve seen so far. Don’t pay twice if our strategy fails then we can always complain. That said hope to see a couple of deep balls vs. NIU.
