Welll said Vlad. Two insights on this Sunday

1) Everyone but us diehards hates UM.  As proof see the #25 ranking. Deserved or not. Also. Coastal Carolina and Cincys ratings are not reflective of their reality.

2) The Lions are in mid season form. An L all day long but they keep you interested until the bitter inevitable end.

Y'all dont have to say "Beat ___" or "who cares, just win the next game" on every piece of information. Every single one of us wants them t win the next game. Its okay to talk about other news surrounding the program like rankings, or to be happy when the team or players get acknowledgements.

On the one hand, I feel that it is way to early to accurately rank anyone in the polls so who cares where Michigan is ranked or unranked? On the other hand, why in the hell is Notre Dame ranked #12?

I see posts like this often, and accept the 'who gives a flying whoosie' attitude. But they're polls, and if we're going to have them they should--to the best extent possible--be accurate, and it also follows that people can debate them, should to the extent that they carry influence.

If Michigan is underrated by pollsters, true, it's not the worst thing if you keep winning, especially at the start of the season. But what happens when you lose? Odds are you fall, then, and remain underappreciated at season's end. What bowls or tourneys might it keep you out of?

Again, polls are dumb, inaccurate, etcetera. But of course we want to receive our due; it's really not all that mysterious.

Good to see the recognition. I really loved watching this offensive line mashing last night. They will only get better. Any word on Vastardis? Him limping off was the only thing that ruined my night. Rest up young man.

While there may be more than a few on this board that don't like the way we are playing/winning, I'd guess that well over half of the teams ranked above us would be crapping their pants at the prospect of Manball bearing down on them.

The discussion in more nuanced than that.

Of course we're going to take 'W's.

It's just that the smart people in the fanbase know that manball isn't going to work when it counts.  We've heard enough bullshit, lies, buzzwords, and slogans -- without the results, over the past 15 years that we know good teams are going to destroy Michigan the way this team has played so far.

Oh the "smart" people in the fanbase know manball won't work huh? If we threw for 300 yards yesterday would you "smart" people suddenly start thinking we were going to beat elite teams? Or would you all just say they have to beat MSU and OSU before you praise them.. don't bother answering, the "smart" people already know what would happen.

If you look around the country at what other ranked teams have done this season (Miami, ND, etc.), and then look at what Michigan has done, there is no reason why they shouldn't have a ranking in the high 20's. Michigan is beating their opponents 78-24 and averaging 330 yards per game on the ground. That's every bit as impressive as what some higher ranked programs have done through two weeks.

Totally fine with where we are. However, if ND started out unranked, there is no way they would be ranked with those wins. The FSU win looks really weak in light of the loss to Jacksonville State and having to come fro behind to beat Toledo.10 in CP and 12 in AP? Come on! And UCLA? ??‍♂️

Aside from the Top 4- and this is an early look, it doesn't matter too much on who's ranked where. It is good for Michigan and they had a slew of 4* & 5* recruits in for the night game. I'll wait to hear what Sam Webb has to say about the success of the big recruiting visit to the Big House for this Washington game. He previously said a big win would bode well.

No way there's 24 teams better than M and I'm (starting to become) confident that the Wolverines will prove that this year.

Let's keep the run game churning BUT tune that passing game up over the 2 weeks in preparation for when we'll have to throw the ball.

Great start to the season, GO BLUE!

That’s if ESPN’s site is working properly which isn’t always a given. Also you must be excited for the game in a few weeks. We’ve all got to be thankful for what we’ve seen so far. Don’t pay twice if our strategy fails then we can always complain. That said hope to see a couple of deep balls vs. NIU.

Washington's defense is pretty darn good - they're going to rebound and win a lot of games this year behind that defense.  Michigan largely had no passing game because that secondary shut it down.  Save for a great throw and adjustment on that 3&15 to CJ, there was nothing available.  I cannot blame JH for running down their throat in that circumstance.  (There was an under thrown ball to Wilson - throw it 5 yards deeper and he scores!  Gah!!)

I have my doubts whether the same thing can happen against MSU, UW, PSU, and OSU.  Although, OSU's run defense has looked weak...  Just saying!  Can UM do to those guys what they just did to Washington?  I dunno...  I kind'a hope we don't have to find out because the pass game gets a little stronger.

Nonetheless, ranked at #25 is absolutely deserved, and may be just a little low.  This is not the team they were last year.  This team is playing really good right now - even if it's still early.
