Huge news. Many had him as the best ILB in the country this season. Bama had another LB go down for the season just a few weeks ago.

I’d much rather face Alabama than Clemson in a playoff game at this point.

I don't jest. Bama has already lost their other projected starting ILB to an ACL and are now projecting to start two true freshman at LB.

Both of those guys you listed are obviously talented but neither has much experience at all and they just lost both of their projected starters. Even with both of those guys healthy AL.com was running stories about how they were worried about depth this year.

no joy in this post.  a college athlete's time is so fragile and short that any kid that misses a season, even if its from some SEC/ohio school, its sad.

Unfortunately I can't edit the original post. But yes, this most indeed sucks for Dylan, and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Obviously no one takes joy in an injury. I thought context would make clear my intent, just as my "Roll Tide" post yesterday was clearly mocking Saban's profound capriciousness.

But I will do better next time. Promise.

There was a time when some people thought Moses would be the next Leonard Fournette coming out of high school.

The next "next Leonard Fournette" is Owen Pappoe, who is now an OLB at Auburn.

All teams have injuries, elite teams have depth, Bama will be fine because being able to constantly whether injuries is why their elite recruiting has resulted in the sustained dominance they have.

Decimated at LB because of early draft entries and injuries.  So yeah, they currently have depth issues at LB.  And that makes them vulnerable on that top tier platform.

Yet, I find it difficult to feel sorry for Alabama.

I do, however, feel bad for the two players they lost to injury.  Hate to see that happen...
