Alabama LB Dylan Moses likely out for season
Roll damn Tide...
August 28th, 2019 at 11:36 AM ^
uhh
ok.
August 28th, 2019 at 11:37 AM ^
This sucks for him but it sounds like he was at least there for the team movie.
August 28th, 2019 at 11:43 AM ^
Huge news. Many had him as the best ILB in the country this season. Bama had another LB go down for the season just a few weeks ago.
I’d much rather face Alabama than Clemson in a playoff game at this point.
August 28th, 2019 at 11:46 AM ^
At this point I wouldnt mind facing either team. That would mean we most likely won the big ten and beat OSU in the process
August 28th, 2019 at 11:59 AM ^
Great point. I was just thinking big picture.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:22 PM ^
I would prefer to face both
August 28th, 2019 at 12:15 PM ^
He should have sat out the fall camp, then he wouldn't have hurt his draft stock.
August 28th, 2019 at 1:19 PM ^
Yeah, too many meaningless practices!!!
August 28th, 2019 at 4:27 PM ^
You'd rather face Alabama than Clemson? Wouldn't every fan who watched the championship game?
August 28th, 2019 at 11:46 AM ^
Time for Saban to shit out another 5 star. But seriously, their LB depth is in a lot of trouble right now and Moses is a beast.
August 28th, 2019 at 1:27 PM ^
Surely you jest: Shane Lee is young, but he had a 96 composite rating, and Markail Benton a soph had a 95 composite rating.

I don't jest. Bama has already lost their other projected starting ILB to an ACL and are now projecting to start two true freshman at LB.
Both of those guys you listed are obviously talented but neither has much experience at all and they just lost both of their projected starters. Even with both of those guys healthy AL.com was running stories about how they were worried about depth this year.
August 28th, 2019 at 3:55 PM ^
Didn't they lose a starting CB, safety, and LB to start the season the last year they won the National Championship? Those guys will be fine once they start playing meaningful games.
August 28th, 2019 at 11:46 AM ^
Not sure that deserves a mocking “Roll damn Tide” but whatever man
August 28th, 2019 at 12:18 PM ^
It wasn't meant to be mocking. I think of "damn" as in that's damn awful news, but I guess interpretations vary.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:21 PM ^
Obligatory: "What ever happened to Roll Damn Tide? He posted some useful stuff."
August 28th, 2019 at 11:47 AM ^
no joy in this post. a college athlete's time is so fragile and short that any kid that misses a season, even if its from some SEC/ohio school, its sad.
August 28th, 2019 at 1:20 PM ^
....true and wish kids take the playing school part seriously also.
August 28th, 2019 at 11:48 AM ^
Maybe a "that sucks, get well" is in order.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:34 PM ^
Unfortunately I can't edit the original post. But yes, this most indeed sucks for Dylan, and I wish him a speedy recovery.
Obviously no one takes joy in an injury. I thought context would make clear my intent, just as my "Roll Tide" post yesterday was clearly mocking Saban's profound capriciousness.
But I will do better next time. Promise.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:44 PM ^
a contrite oligarch. a rare find indeed.
August 28th, 2019 at 11:48 AM ^
There was a time when some people thought Moses would be the next Leonard Fournette coming out of high school.
The next "next Leonard Fournette" is Owen Pappoe, who is now an OLB at Auburn.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:20 PM ^
LB RB? I'm confused.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:02 PM ^
That sucks. He came out of IMG with a lot of hype and this year was to be a big year for him. He even won a Herbie the other day.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:16 PM ^
That link took me right to ESPN's home page.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:35 PM ^
Yeah, I'm not sure why the ESPN app links always do that. Won't use that method again.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:58 PM ^
If you were truly THE Russian Prez would you be this contrite? (I stole that word from a previous poster). You’ve been outed... ??
August 28th, 2019 at 2:32 PM ^
With age comes both wisdom and contrition.
August 28th, 2019 at 7:51 PM ^
And even faint praise from XM occasionally.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:18 PM ^
All teams have injuries, elite teams have depth, Bama will be fine because being able to constantly whether injuries is why their elite recruiting has resulted in the sustained dominance they have.
August 28th, 2019 at 1:00 PM ^
Autocorrect got you...*weather* not *whether*
Signed, the board grammar nazi
August 28th, 2019 at 1:06 PM ^
They would be fine basically anywhere except LB. They are very, very thin there and have already lost other LB's to injury. Bama fans on reddit seem to think they may be rolling with two true freshman starting LB's now.
August 28th, 2019 at 2:39 PM ^
Decimated at LB because of early draft entries and injuries. So yeah, they currently have depth issues at LB. And that makes them vulnerable on that top tier platform.
Yet, I find it difficult to feel sorry for Alabama.
I do, however, feel bad for the two players they lost to injury. Hate to see that happen...
August 28th, 2019 at 2:46 PM ^
I have no sympathy for the team whatsoever. But them having zero LB depth could very well have a significant impact on the playoff race.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:20 PM ^
I think it's safe to say that I feel bad for the kid, not the program.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:21 PM ^
I wish him a speedy recovery.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:30 PM ^
So they won't be in title game.....we will beat someone else.
#Win the Game.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:37 PM ^
"Roll damn tide" on an OT injury report from another team? Classy
August 28th, 2019 at 12:40 PM ^
Saban will just plug in the next five star LB he's got waiting in the wings, and the train will just keep on a-rollin'.
August 28th, 2019 at 12:52 PM ^
Now they will struggle only slightly en route to winning the National Championship.
August 28th, 2019 at 1:13 PM ^
Nice Vlad.....real nice.
August 28th, 2019 at 1:21 PM ^
He still gets to spend the cash they gave him though right?
August 28th, 2019 at 7:33 PM ^
Bama will be fine ....
August 29th, 2019 at 12:45 PM ^
Next 5 star on deck.
