NU (northwestern) up 14-3 on NU (nebraska).
Oklahoma vs A&M close at halftime.
A northwestern win would pretty much kill the 3-way tie scenario with MSU, Michigan and Nebraska
Iowa win is possible vs MSU.
But: An Iowa win vs sparty AND an Iowa win vs Nebraska AND Michigan beating Nebraska AND OSU AND Illinois is less likely.
but I still have Hoke..
Somehow it is so hard for me to even care about other teams on a day like today. Damn you insanely blind fandom!
Not that I loved Rich Rod less, but that I loved Michigan more.
the division winning scenarios, this is not a division winning Michigan team.
Maybe not, but who in the Legends division is? An MSU team that almost lost to Minnesota today? An Iowa team that did lose to Minn? A Nebraska team that is losing to Northwestern?
MSU is (probably) about to be a game up on everyone with Nebraska losing in the 4th. Their remaining schedule is Iowa, IU and NW.
Yeah, but those roadtrips to Iowa and NW are not gimmes.
*If we beat Nebraska, Nebraska beats Iowa, and Iowa beats State. This would be a huge cluster-f*ck in the division.
Assuming NW hangs on here.
At this point, Michigan either needs to win the division outright or finish in a 2-way tie with Nebraska, having beaten them. They lose the tiebreak in every other scenario, either because of head-to-head or because Nebraska has a better divisional record.
So Iowa needs to lose one more and MSU needs to lose two while M wins out.
Wow, NW just might take out Nebrasky. Up 20-10 right now with 12 min. left in the 4th quarter.
"They will meet a dastardly fate here for that! There isn't a Michigan Man who wouldn't like go out and scalp those Buckeyes right now."
So what happens in the Legends if Nebraska loses? State and Iowa would control their own destinies I guess.
I think you may have to avoid the occasional jumper.
The Team, The Team, The Team.
PI Call. What is that?
The Team, The Team, The Team.
Looked like Martinez flirted with being over the line of scrimmage. His back foot may have been behind the line though. They are concentrating on pilongate right now, so that will get overlooked.
Have you seen The Rum Diary?
The Team, The Team, The Team.
Saw it last night. I was very pleased. Laughed my ass off at parts and thought it gave a good look into hst's inner mind before he was a big author.
And teach some clock management. This is embarrassing, this business of saving your timeouts for your offense while the other guys run out the clock.
Touchdown Norhtwestern. That should do it. Two upsets by Northwestern and Iowa today give control of the division back to Sparty.

Go Blue!
Man, the more I watch Nebraska the less impressed I am. How they curb-stomped MSU is beyond me; I'm sure they'll play great against UM, but ugh.
Does every team in the B10 suck?
"Relax you panic monger" -Megatron
This Nebraska game gives me small hope that we can still go 10-2.
We'll drop at least one more game this year. I just hope it isn't against tsio.
Illinois is off this week, they'll have 2 weeks to get ready for us.
NW just got the big victory they've been waiting for.
The B1G is just beating each other up.
All right lets regroup! Nebraska is likely lose to NW and we gotta root for Iowa to beat State next week. Then the last 2 weeks will be determine it all. Go Blue! We will determine how good this season will be in how we finish this season.
Everyone assumed the three way tie would be Michigan, Nebraska, State. Well now the three way tie would be Michigan, Iowa, State all with 2 conference losses. If State loses to Iowa and Michigan wins out then we would hold the tie breaker: Overall Record. 10-2 vs 9-3 and 9-3.
Nah, because State holds the Legends division tiebreaker in that case.
edit - nvm...
These next three weeks are going to be a clusterfuck...
"Ohio is like a giant turd that Michigan just can't pinch off"
Great to see NU (YTNU) spring the upset on NU (NTNU). Id love someone to ask Husker coaches or players -- and get an honest answer -- if the B1G is harder or deeper than the BigXII. Huskers were supposed to be better than last year but their results sure didnt look that way. Lost at home to Northwestern? Did they ever kose at home recently to Iowa St or KU?
if Iowa is able to beat MSU next week (at home) and UM tackles Nebraska (wishful thinking perhaps), it's still right back in the mix.
i'm still kinda baffled by the negativity of everyone (not the OP) as of late... 7-2 is a great record IMO (yah i know BUTTHISISMICHIGAN!) and i think Illinois is very winnable, as is OSU. 9-3 would be an epic win for this staff - yeah we could have played better and beaten Iowa but i think it's a bit much to get into FIRE BORGES mode
