Can't wait for Finebaum. "Well, this loss isn't that bad. South Alabama is actually a pretty good team"

Houston just beat Oklahoma . Damn , tom hermanns wife is hot!
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:33 PM ^
Houston's going to be the darling for awhile.
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:38 PM ^
I don't think Houston loses a game now. If so going to be interesting at year end.
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:47 PM ^
We'll have to see how real Louisville is first.
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:50 PM ^
Louisville is a good team, I wouldn't write them off yet.
It's funny to me with everyone voting OSU out of the top five because they lost so much - So did Oklahoma. They only had a couple more returners than the Bucks had. I always felt like calling them a playoff team was a risky proposition... beating both OSU and Houston to start the year seemed unlikely.

Alright, which Power 5 teams wants to go ahead and fire their HC to get the 1st shot at the Tom Hermann sweepstakes?

there is absolutely NO reason to leave Houston. You're in the hottest of HS football hotbeds. You're now arguably in the conversation of best program in the state (given the last 2 wins). Co-eds aren't tempting enough given the arm candy already collected.
Houston will pay whatever it takes to keep him.
September 3rd, 2016 at 4:36 PM ^
espn said that if Houston joins a power 5 Herman gets a $5MM bonus.

They put up a stat during the game about how close Houston's recruits lived to campus. The average recruit was 32 miles fromm campus whereas the average for all teams was something like 325 miles. Oklahoma was 370 miles. So, yes Houton is a hotbed of talent.

After they gave up the touchdown Miss State went down the field with a minute left. 54 yards in 51 seconds, only to brick the game winning field goal.

Not if they run the table. Would at least be in the conversation depending on other P5 conference winners.
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:40 PM ^
If they go 12-1 with a Big 12 title and Houston goes 11-1 too, that's not an awful loss. It's workable
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:52 PM ^
Does anyone honestly think Oklahoma is going to win out? OSU, other OSU, TCU, Baylor, and Texas all on the schedule... They're not winning out.
September 3rd, 2016 at 4:03 PM ^
MSU & OSU constantly play down to competition early in the season and then end up CFP calibur by year end. OU's D was still ok today. They have a shot
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:35 PM ^
So far we have been the only team to dominate how we were supposed to. Teams playing down to their opponents
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:36 PM ^
OSU won by like 60.
Washington crushing Rutgers, Maryland taking care of business. Plenty of other games where the favorite is rolling.
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:54 PM ^
Yeah, OSU broke a school record for yards. They threw one bad pick to start (sound familiar?) then rolled. I'd feel better if they'd looked bad, but at least sparty still looked like shit.

Very good team. They can take out OSU. They just ran into a hostile road game against a team that was absolutely buzzing.

I think the end-of-game graphic showed that that was LSU's first non-conference regular season loss since 2002!
I could be wrong, but I think that's what was indicated.
September 3rd, 2016 at 3:49 PM ^
And I have to go mow the lawn. This sucks.

Iowa up 7-0 but out Jewell ejected for targeting.

Man....LSU. I just never know what they are trying to do on O. Cam Cameron can't be this bad can he.

or was that a rhetorical question?
